Or since we aren't shown (unless I somehow missed it) a day, month, year and time displayed, maybe the battle at the start of the video happens around a point in time when people are able to get cameras with both solar-powered options and seemingly endless storage/ram which would be amazing if that was the case, also it might be neat if the kid at the end is a future relative of the soldier, though in that case I'm not sure if it would be a good thing or bad thing for if the kid were to learn how to use the camera and watch the video to see what happened to the soldier.

@@narsete_iv2884 The video was injoyable I was just trying to give the the one's above a possible reason to why their commenting on the camera might have been. Also the part of me mentioning the kid was just for the video itself also if the kid was to watch the video it would be bad cause of the battle but good cause the kid would hopefully learn what to avoid.
At first I thought it would have been the resilience of the soldier, but as it went on I later began to realise that it was the resistance of the world and life after conflict. This is truly beautiful ❤

Saw a gif with your animation on 9gag. The comment was: "when the war is over, we'll get married and the earth will grow flowers like you and your womb will carry the most beautiful girl in the universe". A letter found in the pocket of one of the dead soldiers, 1939. Came here to watch this beauty from start to finish. I'm from Russia and in the last couple of years my perspective on soldiers have changed. Like, people here all comment about how the soldier in your video is a protector and how much he gave even after his death. And I'm sitting here wondering whether he was 'lucky' enough to die on HIS land, protecting it, instead of being sent somewhere for no clear reason. P.S.: thx for the link to the playlist of other students)

The imagery of nature reclaiming a place torn apart by cruelty and war will forever be my favourite trope. Flowers blooming out of a gun's barrel, a tank used as shelter for animals during heavy rain, this soldier's body feeding and protecting a few little lives, if only for a little while. If this solider who "served and protected" was worth their salt, they would have been honoured to help push for life to blossom after the bloodshed has ended.
They should show this clip at the UN when things goes bad, to remember us that we'll be long gone and we won't be missed. We as mankind should be caring to thrive, not wars. Thank you for crafting such a masterpiece.

I LOVE how you depict life here. The plants. At first everything’s dead and scary, except for a poor dying human that’s obscured. The rain is beautiful, the water as well, plants progressively take over the corps as the war has died down and look stunning and so diverse as animal use them for themselves in a harmonious way. Your style is smooth but not simple, cartoony and soft and most of all very expressive. Animals are accurate here and made adorable. The crow looks great, the cat melted my heart and his behaviour and animation are on point, the hyenas have this spooky laugh and darkened ambiance but are adorable nonetheless and are inspired my the Lion King’s hyenas, the previous duckling and their mother and the way she cares for her playful little chicks is soo precious, the small birds and squirrel and spider making their hoke out of the corps is beautiful as well and they are still very cute! The human child as well has this slight wildness yet intelligence and curiosity to him that I love, his friend racoon is nice. Great job overall!
Goes to show that regardless of what happens, nature seemingly finds a way. Most likely, in a scenario like this one, putting in the rising tensions into consideration in the year 2023, humanity might be in this position. However, through the whimsy of this animation, there just might be a silver lining in the end.

The soldier even in death was loved.
The only unrealistic things here are that his eyes lasted as long as they did, he didn't get swarmed by insects and the camera kept functioning properly all those years. Awesome video, beautiful animation.
@Hrrjkf821

I 100% agree with the impossibility of the eyes lasting as long as shown in the animation. As for the camera, it's possible that these humans made some magically advanced technology that can make cameras last generations (I mean, the soldiers kind of look a bit futuristic). But it can also be just regular movie logic or something.

The job of nature makes everything perfect
This means for me. The strenght of the nature, we aren’t separated, we are nature 🌱 And that strength isn’t with the guns or material things. When we forget that, the war does present to destroy us. (Btw I’m Mexican and I’m practicing my English language without translator looking this kind of animations and answering some comments)
Resilience At first, the soldier's strength did shine so bright, Resilience, in the heat of battle's fight. But as time passed, a deeper truth unfurled, The world itself, in strife, found strength to twirl. Life after conflict, scars and wounds so deep, Yet from the ashes, new promises would creep. The earth, it heals, as seasons gently turn, In every heart, a chance for love to burn. A symphony of life, both wild and serene, In nature's grace, the world itself a dream. The soldier's tale, a part of this grand scheme, In resilience, the universe does gleam. So let us see, in every step we take, The beauty of a world that won't forsake. For in resilience, we all find our way, In every dawn, a brighter, hopeful day.

The beauty of nature, but in a realistic way. This feels all the more real given the current condition of the world, where a certain civilization-ending world might just be around the corner. Beautiful, truly beautiful
This is really amazing! I love the story and message it tells a lot too. Something random I also found interesting is how even after the war and their death, that soldier still served a purpose; a cat found comfort and safety from the corpse, Hiyenas found a meal from the corpse, a squirrel was able to store their food with the corpse, and multiple birds where able to make a nest out of the corpse.
Soldier was never alone, he was always accompanied by animals, in the end it seemed as if the animals gathered to be with him.

The resilience of the powerline pole is crazy. The fact that it lasted that long is just wild.
The fact that humanity got sent back to tribal leaf-wearing after that man's war/conflict with modern weaponry and the civilisation's buildings began to degraade really shows who the winner of that battle was... We really should be aware this outcome is not too far from the truth.
This is amazing. The way you balanced death and sadness with joy and rebirth was a wonder to behold.
I think what is truly beautiful about this is that everyone can find their own meaning in it. For me, it’s that nature reclaims everything with time, and that change and time are inevitable.
The way I think of this film is basically that life will always find a way. It shows the soldier in a time of need, when nobody comes to help, leaving them to die all alone. But the rest of the film, it shows how life has regrown over the era of war and started anew. Stuff like this... it makes me think that maybe humanity might have a chance. Maybe not this time around, but hopefully next time. Hopefully...
The fact that we’re watching the footage of the camera means that humans likely bounced back from this, and were able to develop technology once more and retrieve it.
