I would like this comment, except it's at 13, which is exactly on point.

A lot of better managed places actually have a reception and a front desk person if you're paying for a nice condo and the rent is priced high. If not the bare minimum is they have a mail room that packages get dropped off at instead of on the ground. They don't need security codes as they just wait for people to come in and go and they catch the door before it closes.

Those typically cost more money because they have 24-hr security most likely.

Best way is move out until the building can assure they'll reimburse you and buff security

The usual suspect have been doing this here in Otay Ranch, Chula Vista where I'm from, you know why? Low income affordable living vouchers given by the County and the City of Chula Vista, they have the applicants on a waiting list, most coming from south east San Diego, and when approved, they get lower rates housing in nice areas of town. This is Why cities like Coronado, CA does not want the have not's move in what people finished college and worked hard for. These Lower income families, most of them probably drop out of grade school think and expect they are entitled living a lavish lifestyle as well, and bringing crime to your neighborhoods!

@@deshon1499Well no. I was there in the late 60's and early 70's. There were a few orange groves but it was mostly businesses and neighborhoods. Nice ones. The Mission Valley Mall started construction in 1959 and was completed in 1961. Look it up.
