I didn't think that I would ever see a topic like this in my video feed. Pets should be treated like family. Anyone who would put themselves in harms way to save them is just as much a hero to me as a someone who would do the same for people. Pets are too often treated as property that can be discarded when they are no longer wanted.

This should also serve as a good reminder to everyone that you should (a) have an emergency plan just in case and a go-bag and (b) always make sure to include your pets in emergency plans, if only to have a spare jumbo-sized bag of kibbles to open before you run out the door if you can't take them with you.

@@sal17ify I’ve spent most of my life of 73 years studying the history of the human drive to oppress other humans for profit, power or wealth or all three. This included a great deal of research into the cases of war. What is happening in Gaza right now is a nightmare and getting close to attempted genocide. This a religious/imperialist war…one of the ugliest, most horrific forms of war. In addition far right in Israel want to restore Israel’s biblical borders. What is happening to the Ukraine is about imperialism among other matters…Putin, also far right, wants to restore Russia to its Soviet borders. Both will have to conquer mutiple countries in their region to do this and result in multiple wars. This should concern everyone about how their governments are handling it. Otherwise our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will become cannon fodder.

I feel like more people should be focusing their concern on the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people by the settler colony of Israel, funded by the United States, while the Whitehouse is denying that it's a genocide, than on the pets in Ukraine. IDK seems like a really dehumanizing and disrespectful imbalance in attention some people show.

Mang, it's Nature, the documentary series about *animals*. Go watch Frontlline or the BBC or Al-Jazeera or basically any other major news program that isn't about animals if that's what you want. I think it's fair to have at least one documentary witnessing the suffering of animals in war time in the documentary series dedicated to animals.
