Rescuing Homeless Children From the Streets of India
As one of the most populous countries on Earth, India is also home to a huge number of children who live on the streets. One organization, the Salaam Baalak Trust, is confronting the issue head-on by providing shelter, meals and education for some of the 51,000 homeless children in Delhi. The Starkey team joins them in their mission to help these kids secure a better future.

I am 14, and I can't imagine having that much responsibility. That is honestly amazing, that she takes care of her siblings. With nothing. And I am so glad they came to the center. I was in tears when the young boy agreed

You could document some of your experiences and post them along with a link to an online funding account (similar to go fund me). I just subscribed to your channel and hope to see something soon. I think you'll find many people are willing to offer you assistance if simply given a way to do so.

Not over there!!! You know how many times I had to yell at people for abusing dogs?? ''Bad karma,'' I would scream at them! I loved the Indian street dogs, they were lovely. So too the children & the beggers.

Lol... what country do you live in? Dog rescues only exist in the western world. A dog rescue in places like India, China, or africa are incredibly rare! They eat dogs in poor countries, they definitely don't care about helping them.. God Bless the west! We have animal welfare laws and children's organizations.

Do you know how many animals are being raped, murdered, abducted, enslaved & killed every DAY? Humans are nothing compared in absolute numbers OR percentages. DO YOUR RESEARCH before projecting your own delusions!

you can help, we all have a bigger platform than any of those kids. stil some of them manege to change the world, even if its only a litle bit. we have school, social media, we have the chance to develope out talents. all these things can push society in a better direction. wether you are a dancer, writer or you are good at math. you have a platform and a talent.

All of us who are typing have just enough. We have more than we need . We have more than enough food . More than enough shelter and it breaks my heart . Those kids don't have family. We should all be great for what we have . And help the people who don't

When she said her younger siblings were doing drugs. that killed me. At that young of an age, I feel horrible
Parveena (I think is her name) has a beautiful smile she and her siblings seem like great kids I hope they are living a happy life now
I cried when she said her brother dreams about his mum and she visits them at night
I have let my kids who are 11 and 10 watch these films, and talked to them about Children who live in these circumstances and to appreciate that they have an opportunity they have education and to respect the less unfortunate, I believe our kids living in the west and having a fortunate life should learn and respect this
This video made me cry.
These people and childern might be homeless but evertime they try to find something that full fill all our hearts: love and happines
I’m soo happy that they finally got shelter!☺️

this video broke my heart in so many ways. it's going to make me look at life differently. I assure to me more grateful with what I have.

It shameful that we need foreigners to come and investigate about these children. Why won't our govt is opening their eyes to this issue? It's high time to make a difference and we need to give voice for the voiceless. I really want to see my India with no children wandering around the street. I'll be there for you kids... ❤️ Let's all stay together... Officials... Common man... 🙏
Thank God for people like this....
Thank you for showing my Indian street children...... They need help much.... Thank you sir....

I pray to God saying I hope everyone is safe and living great life.i feel helpless that they are homeless people on the street and there are bullies destroying/changing people lifes
I didn't cry about this but when I see a dying dog or animal I by my eyes out
Street children are never Okay with their living in such conditions. It is people like you and me that can make a small difference in their life by reaching out to them.

this made me cry
I just want 2 help ppl like these
I'm 11 and when I saw him smoke and when the girl said they do drugs my heart broke and I cried
I'm 20years old. True living example of these kids life though from Africa. I know very well why these kids don't want to join the care centre. Many homes are taking advantage of their lives and they use their bad situation to make money. When these kids release it, they just choose to keep away. I'm currently working with different organizations to help kids in the some situations. I'm humbled for this video.
is there a second part to this? I want to see how the kids are doing now that they joined the Salam balaak trust !!

wow that's a sad story I wanna cry so bad

I want to dedicate my life. if I had a chance to go abroad to help all these children to have centers and homes. this video broke my heart. I've seen poverty alot. going to my home country Pakistan and seeing the poor. But the more I watch these I feel I get closer to God. the need and passion to help the weak and to protect all of God's children. I wish there were more organizations like this. I know there are but so many that this wouldn't be a problem in the world
