I love that too. It’s powerful how neither knows what the other has been through to be there in that moment. All Ann knows is Jack is there to rescue her.

It’s one of my favorite moments - she’s conflicted; yes, Jack has come to save her, but by now, Kong has risked his life for her and she recognizes that he’s lonely like she is.

In the 1933 film, Ann fears Kong and wants Jack to save her, so she doesn’t hesitate to join Jack when he arrives. But here, the conflict is much stronger. There’s nothing she really needs saving from; she and Kong have become friends and he won’t hurt her. Yet if she stays with him, she’ll be all alone, away from the world and unable to follow her dreams, and Jack will have risked his life for nothing. So she has to leave with him, and has no way of communicating to Kong how difficult the situation is for her.

Yeah, I always think that she had no choice but to go with him. She can’t escape like that because the reaction of Kong’s face was heartbroken 😔

Kong is a beast with power strength mobility and a lot of anger and he’s scary!

I love this film so much I actually have a Kong and Ann tattoo!

I'm not surprised that Kong tries to attack Jack considering that he was trying to take Ann away from him.

She betrayed the one who saved her. She should have convinced him to let her go than hurt him by trying to disappear. Imagine if the original plan succeeded- he'd think something ate her.

Ann did want to leave with jack at first until she learned that the sailors wanted to capture Kong, she thought Jack was part of it (which wasn't true) she angrily tells Jack to let go of her.

Actually, Ann is a little hesitant here. She doesn't want to leave Kong like this, but unfortunately she can't stay here and say to Jack that I won't come when he came for her.

1:32 Kong flatly refused to let go of Anne when he was fighting with three Vastatosaurus, but several bats are a completely different matter, here we urgently need to put her on the ground, especially knowing that she is just going to sharpen her skis from here.

They’re some sort of flying rat. They actually cover themselves in their own feces to prevent other larger creatures from wanting to eat them. It’s quite disgusting but interesting at the same time. There’s a few videos about them here on KZread

That look ann gives and naomi watts brilliantly gives as the actress is awesome! she is so conflicted. she loves kong so much, and she loves how much she is loved, and she loves the action and the activity she gets with him, and his actually very charming and manly instincts for her and his go getter attitude and alpha male dynamics he has with her and so much primal triggers hit. and then there is jack, who cant string a sentence together, never tells ann outright he likes her, is a bit of a nice guy, not nearly as many primal triggers hit. but he is logically good, and he is civilization, and actual lasting love for the reality of their world. kong is not even human, cant even give her a family, is literally dying as a species and offers her and her family no future. but her primal switches to have small family feelings with a top predator man thing like kong are so powerful. this is partly a fun fictional movie, partly a scientific movie. this is real science.
