Peter Jackson really put a lot of passion and effort into his remake. You can tell he really loved the orginal 1933 film and made this as the ultimate tribute.

Its a love letter to his favorite movie. Though I found the original 1996 script a much better retelling, I respect Jackson for giving us a remake of the original with today's technology even if it feels like an expanded version of it in general.

Even the intro...really well done. He knows how to get you invested...just like Fellowship of the Ring intro.

My favorite part in King Kong (2005) is not all the action sequences or monster fights. Its the part where Kong and Anne play on the ice. In that moment, they have an unbreakable bond. They are having fun. The music is soft and emotional. And the best part, but also the saddest part, Kong....for the first and only time in his life, is experiencing true happiness. And he got to share that with the only person he has ever loved. Truly "Beautiful".

This is such a simple but powerful part of the movie it shows how much ann trust and cares for kong

There is so much love between the girl and King Kong, it is not seen anywhere. Very emotional scene!😢

Apart from the emotional masterpiece that this scene is, it's also one where you can see Kong appreciate his new surrondings, if only for a minute. When he first emerged form the theatre, the chaos and fear around him frightened and confused him, but here, away from the brutality of Skull Island and in the tranquility of the ice and snow, he is completely at peace, having fun.. being happy. Even after that and climbing the Empire State Building, he can find beauty in the world outside of what he has known his entire life. Imagine what could have been if he didn't go on a rampage and the humans didn't- understandbably, mind- react like they did.

Immersion Ruined on the question.

I cry in this scene. The feeling of knowing that it is the last time just breaks the heart especially since I watched this movie multiple times. The first time it was okay except the ending, but now this is the scene where I first crack all the way to the end of the movie.

Got nostalgic for this film today and this was my absolute favorite part of the entire thing. It was a very heartwarming scene.

You know we forget Kong is an animal this is probably how he survived growing up. Anytime he faced something too challenging to the point of absolute death he’d retreat to the highest ground possible since he can climb.

I still can't believe this movie came out in 2005, Peter Jackson did alot of effort for this movie. I still remember the first time watching it and it was mind-blowing, still is this day. In my opinion, this movie is a masterpiece

Beautiful scene He was enjoying himself and she was admiring his intelligence and good heart. They shared a very deep bond but unfortunately there was no way he could live in the city. Skull island was he's home. They kidnapped him and there was no way to return him back there. The end of the movie always makes me cry

If there ever was a ending change to the movie, I could do Ann managing to convince everyone King Kong is not dangerous and she tells Jack Driscoll they are not meant to be and she and King Kong goes back to Skull Island and lives happily ever after.

This movie should be talked about more. It was so well done and this scene was beautiful.

hollywood are fucking idiots right now. so there planing to make a first AI movie. I hoping for AI generation movie would be the biggest flop in cinema history. This MOVIE is GOAT the CGI effects is astonishing beautifully. hollywood don't give a fuck anything just making more money. if you want make blockbuster movie. get professional CGI crew, best writer and director to make successful movie. movies made by creativity. not AI.

I loved how extremely well this film is. The combination of CGI, practical effects and sets. Weta has done a fantastic job. I watched the Director's Cut of King Kong and surprised how much they explored Skull Island. Wished PJ would've done Son of Kong or his version of Kong: Skull Island.

@@BigJackFilms i think King Kong was never meant to be franchise material. In fact Peter Jackson wanted to have skull island sink just as in the original films. Which was explored in the book The World of Kong: A natural history of Skull Island & in BTS. If Universal green lit a sequel. Then PJ's SoK/K:SI would have basically just ended it as with the classic films. King kong died and so did his son. After that nothing.

The sad part is this was probably the only time Kong was able to experience fun; Skull Island is too tropical for snow and ice and it was inhabited by a myriad of dangerous animals. More importantly, he managed to share this moment of merriment with his one and only friend, Anne.

This was the first ever movie I watched as a child. And since then I never stopped watching this, and the movie never disappointed me every time I watched.

I watched this movie just yesterday and I was impressed, for example, at 6:00, how CG has not become outdated in fifteen years, and in some places it still surpasses current films. Kong has every hair clearly drawn, and the city amazes with the number of buildings.

This is a Beauty and the Beast moment. Anybody got a tissue?

I rememberded saw this scene on theater . I'm not type of guy crying esaly but when I saw this scene , a tear dropped of my eyes. And when I saw the death of Kong , I was litteraly depresseted 😢

What an experience as a young boy going to the cinema with my family including my Granny who loved the 30's version! The game was pretty good also

It adds more adrenaline into the whole part where the Army chasing after him in the NY streets

I love this movie, but parts of the film were cut from the DVD, which is kind of annoying. Particularly the “ram it up its ass” speech, and the log raft scene back on skull island and probably a few others. But anyway thanks Universal for putting this up on KZread for the benefit of those of us who can’t watch it on the DVD.

special effecs are amazing.

I think the 1933 King Kong is still the best King Kong movie by far but this is the best scene in any King Kong movie.

King really is a gentle giant .

Kongs death in this movie was heartbreaking to watch.

That part when Kong trampled that truck wale that guy in it was giving that speech made me laugh.

2:39 That soldier has an Army of Occupation of Germany ribbon and a World War 1 Victory ribbon. The Army of occupation of Germany ribbon (which was awarded for US Service members who served in the occupation of the German Rhineland and AH in WW1) is a bit anachronistic however since it was established in 1941 (king kong is set in the early 30s) . Still a nice bit of detail though.

Further more the US Army at that time was still using WW1 gear in the 1930s but you notice that the doughboy leading his men is also using a WW2 model Browning BAR and carrying Enfield M1917 rifles but while these were standard use then it would be more correct for the troops to use Springfield 03s.

He just wanted to be left alone with the woman he loved. Just like all good men.

Peter Jackson made King Kong such a fantastic and emotional movie since the 1933 version. Kong is one of my favorite childhood movies . Kong and the dinosaurs were my favorite parts . But I’ll always say kong was better on skull island being free and should have stayed on the island .

I swear they did so damn well with the music on this movie

3:35 even the Empire State Building gets an ominous feel in this shot. It’s like Kong is running towards his grave.

I saw the whole movie of King Kong the first time. I never knew much about it at first, I thought King Kong was the villain at first but I guess he was actually misunderstood.

I can never finish this movie 100% every time i rewatch it, i need to stop it 20 minutes from the ending, i cannot bear to watch Kong die again, sadden me too much

I was genuinley pissed when they launched a missile at them in this scene just now... This breaks my heart man...

When Kong was bringing Ann closer to his face, it made me wonder if he was going to kiss her. Lip-to-lip. I’m even wondering if that was what could’ve happened had the planes not come.
