Without compassion we have no future......great video and great job!
It’s beautiful to see this kind of empathy and compassion for these vulnerable, injured and formerly abused elephants; it’s right to simply care about them because they are obviously intelligent and social beings who mourn their dead, sometimes staying for many many days at a time with the remains of one of their friends. I can’t look at that behavior and ignore it or dismiss it, it looks and feels too much like the way we grieve and suffer when we lose people and pets that we love. So to show these animals some respect and support is deserved. They’ve been through too much injustice and pain at the hands of some humans. I don’t want to see them be miserable, and afraid of all of us - these elephants deserve to be protected them from their previous, bad human captors, and rehabilitated as best as they can. Hopefully they can be happy as they live out the rest of their lives, with a little piano music now and then. 🐘 🤍
Not every day you get to see an elephant relaxing to classical music. And to see them build this beautiful bond.. absolutely heartwarming :)

I just love how elephants are unaware of their physical size and act like babies....they are such beautiful creatures. Good on you for recognizing that! Too many people still believe it's an okay thing to do and have little regard for the elephant or don't realize that the elephant has been broken. Bull hooks are nasty weapons and I hope that elephant rides don't exist in the future
@solar0wind
4 жыл бұрын
Are elephant rides in general bad? Horses often enjoy carrying a person on their backs, as long as they have fun and are treated well, and don't have to walk around in circles all the time. Okay, usually horses that are used to teach beginners at riding schools aren't often that happy, but when they bond with someone most are happy doing it. Is it similar for elephants? That it's okay for a few people to ride on them, but not commercially?

I understand that some animals can carry loads like donkeys, horses and elephants. But my question to you as a human if your capacity is to carry 10 kgs of load and if I pile you with more than you capacity. You will speak it out. The poor animal has no speech and if he/she cries they are hit with a stick. And we live in a world of technology why use these animals...send them in their own habitat, the universe put them their and they will know to fend for themselves. If I had an elephant like in certain parts of kerela they have elephants only the mahouts ride it and people can come there play with them and give them baths. No rides at all. And even if the elephant is capable of riding they will push it to its extreme.
@ciaohowdy7005
4 жыл бұрын
The problem is the breaking (physically and mentally) of baby elephants to accept their fate of logging or giving rides. It's truly monstrous, I dont understand how men can live with themselves. They literally torture the elephant to break its spirit. When you go on an elephant ride you support that practice. I strongly encourage you to google it and I think you'll understand.
This just warmed my heart to tears! Elephants are THE most amazing animals, and for this man to care enough to try to make their life better gives me hope, and proves angels exist

So because this guy plays music that means you think there is evidence for a sexless race of essentially organic robots that serve god? Must not have read the Bible, I know, most people just make whatever religion they claim as they go with no relevance to reality and scripture but it baffles me how anyone can relate modern morality and kindness to what the source material says about them which often would be considered outright evil by modern standards. Which is one reason why the Bible only gets lip service these days and no one dares actually follow it.

This was one of the sweetest and nicest things I've ever seen. It should be clear and obvious to anyone, that elephants are not just very smart animals, but are indeed sentient beings on a scale equal to humans, apes, dolphins, octopi, etc. Clearly all such creatures should deserve the respect and consideration which humanity seems compelled to reserve for itself only and even then, not often. No wonder, why "other" higher intelligences refrain from having contact with us. - 😃♉❤✌

We feed the squirrels too, with raw in-shell peanuts. The blue jays hear us outside in the backyard and they come flying in and land on the patio roof and hop around making noise until I throw a peanut onto the grass for THEM and then, they launch off the patio roof and go right to that ONE peanut, out of all the others on the grass, pick it up - sometimes without landing - they just fly over and snatch it up and off they go to hide it. Then they come back and ask for more. It's fun.

Beautiful.....not just the music, but.....everything! What a Gift of Love.
I would love to do that! I've played for over 30 years and have never liked playing for audiences. My mom would try to get me to play for people but it wasn't my thing. My dad would just quietly sit down and listen to me play never making a peep he knew it was my get better medicine. He got me a petite baby grand for christmas when I was 12 god I love that piano. I stopped playing after he died but eventually I started up again but only when my hubby and kids were gone. I realized how much my furbabies loved it especially our rescue dog Capone. As scared as he was when we first brought him home when I would play it calmed him and he would come lay under the piano. Fast forward 3 years he's not scared or timid anymore he's pretty much the boss of the house but everytime I sit down to play he's laying under the piano. It's our special thing to do together.
I had a cat that loved Moody Blues. All living things have a level of awareness far beyond what most people are aware of.
I love what you're doing! You play so beautifully for these elephants. It's so heartbreaking how these elephants are subjected to harsh working conditions and exploited in so many ways. Your gift of music is healing them and giving them a fresh perspective on coexisting in peace with humans. Thank you sir.
