Rescue Horse RIBS OUT Can't Take Saddle ~ SOO MANY CRACKS!
Spartan survived the racetrack, lived as a work horse, being sold for meat and still is one of the sweetest horses you'll ever meet. From Stringhalt to dislocated ribs, there was a lot for Dr. Doug to work on to get this horse living as comfortable as possible.

The leading organization, in my opinion, that has Veterinarians and Chiropractors that become Animal Chiropractors is the Animal Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) They have a website with a "Find a Doctor" tab/database: www.animalchiropractic.org
This a good resource for all that are looking for a well trained doctor near them.

Race horses are NOT work horses. I can't think of anything nice to say about the Amish. Spartan is a gorgeous elegant boy and the Amish certainly didn't deserve him. Thank you for saving him and giving him a loving home.

I don't understand any reason to use horse to plough this day and age . It is absolutely cruel .
@Ariella-mx3xq4cw6n

@@florac6906 He would probably be used as a carriage horse. Belgium's are the plough horses. It's their job. What they were bred for. As for the Armish too many of them treat their horses badly. It is the way they treat them, not the fact they use them for what they were bred for that is the problem. They do not get veterinary help when it's need and carry on working them until its too late to treat them. Or are old. Then the horses end up in the slaughter pipe line. The slaughter pipe line is terrible. Something I've learned a lot about from Horse Plus Rescue. Its nothing like sending a horse to an abattoir in the UK.

I have heard those gossiping lies about the Amish, too. However none of you have any experience with the Amish. You just listen to the second hand lies and gossip.

I'm not a fan of the level, or lack thereof, of care given to horses that came from the Amish that I work on. However, this is a Standardbred racehorse, not a thoroughbred. I had a barn of standardbred racehorses (both pacers and trotters) on my book until gas went up and it was too far to travel. Thoroughbreds would likely do very poorly as cart horses on the road, and not saying it's right, but these standardbreds are raced pulling a person on hard surfaces, so at least they are as prepared for that rough life better than what most think of as a "racehorse."
I am a believer that horses can just sense moods, almost telepathicly

I think people tend to forget that animals have muscles and bones just like us 😂 they are just as prone as we are. You are an absolutely beautiful soul for helping those we can’t communicate with. If not people like you, who else?! I hope your career leads you to do more good. ❤

I am amazed at how the horses stand still for the treatment; they know they are being helped. Wonderful work!
What a beautiful, gentle horse. Look at those big, kind eyes. All the things he's been through, and he still has a remarkable softness. Hope he finds a wonderful home❤
Spartan is such a gorgeous boy and he could absolutely tell you were helping him. These horses are so lucky to have you visit them!
Spartan looked so relaxed and chill after the treatments.

Dr. Doug, I absolutely love watching your videos and greatly appreciate the relief that you provide these beautiful creatures. Since your patients can’t speak to let you know what is bothering them physically, you let their bodies (bones, muscles, etc)speak for them. What you do for your patients is truly amazing! Thank you for all that you do!💕😊👍👏🥇💕
He may or may not know this but he’s communicating telepathically with the horse. I can hear the energy passing back and forth.

Just like me: usually only takes a few adjustments (minutes) when I go to the chiropractor to 💐
Not for the first time that I've seen a big horse, hurt, discarded and rescued after the amish used them. I'm just happy that some animals are lucky to be rescued after they've been used and have no more value for those that treat animals like machines or something to profit from. But even more lucky, they get you visiting! Your calm demeanor really helps, plus we all learn alot from you 😊❤
lol at 3:50 that crack made sparks look over at you like 'damn man.. wtf was that?"
the horse looks at him like yeah you got it thank you
Spartan's poor body needed a lot of adjustments. Now his energy can flow better and he can move with less pain. I bet by tomorrow he will feel like he had a spa day. :D Bless!

WoW. I lived next to a large Amish community for 10 years. I remain friends with many families since I moved. I have NEVER seen any animal abuse. EVER! The Amish are amazing kind people who will be the first ones there if you need something. They love and honor their families. Making negative statements over "rumors" is ignorant!
This guy has a natural born talent....We have dominion over animals that's why we should respect , protect and help them whenever we can, City or Country living.

You should always ask your horse if they mind if you ride them, if you don’t get a response take it as a NO !!! Just love and appreciate them for what they are and not for what they can do for you !!

Really! Yes we should have respect and care of all animals, but we do have dominion over them. Who's the boss you or the animal. The attitude they are equal is why we have dangerous or badly behaved dogs and horses.
I've popped a rib out. 6 mos of doctors not being able to help me. Then I met my ANGEL SPORTS CHIROPRACTOR.... My rib would poke me if I took too deep of a breath.. IT HURT A LOT, CONSTANTLY...

Spartan seems very sad & hurt. This horse fell & it's ribs popped out (same thing happened to my friend). The problem with these injuries is they often misalign again because the muscles are inflamed. Like humans great care needs to be taken afterwards, massage & topical creams can help in the healing process. Amazing AMAZING PEOPLE, thank you.
