Hi everyone !! This is Cindy…. Buddys mom!!I I want to give you an update on Buddy❤️❤️ Side note --I am so grateful for Buddy and for Dr Doug🫶🙏 Buddy is doing so well-his front paws do not splay out , his back right leg only shakes sometimes and he is able to put about 80% pressure on that leg. His back left leg is solid! Buddy eats and drinks standing up and also stands on his own to pee and poop ( in case you wondered LOL) Buddy has been sleeping through the night !! He also is able to walk on the hardwood floor now!! His tail is always wagging, especially when we walk and people know him! I do walk with him 1-3 times a day and I leave it up to Buddy where we walk and for how long. It averages around 1 mile per day total. ( as a reference point he was doing around 2 miles a day before he got hurt- and couldn’t stand -July 12th). Buddy goes up and down curbs like a champ and he always walks in the crosswalks. Buddy is a happy, healthy and very much loved 17 year old mixed breed dog ! THANK YOU for all of the sweet , kind and loving birthday wishes!! 🙏 He is back to doing some things I was not sure if he’d be able to do so I am beyond blessed and grateful! In 2015 my parents dog had the same issue, he was also 17 at the time, we saw some vets and they all wanted to cut him open to remove some bones, that was an instant no no for us, instead we took him to a chiroprator and after some loud cracks and adjustements he could walk again, he lived happily for 4 more years after that and passed in 2019 at the ripe age of 21, with the exception of stairs he had no trouble walking until the end, we buried him in the yard.

My Chiropractor has put me back together twice - after a really bad fall and a car accident. The doctors said nothing’s broken so take this Vicodin and you are done! I could not lift my right leg enough to climb the stairs in my house. My friend recommended her Chiropractor and it was magic. Without him my life would be bedridden and hurting. With my Chiropractor I have been able to work until I was 73, retire and walk at the same time! I just discovered the Dog Chiropractor and I love that this trained Doctor can help animals the way another helped me. Living pain-free is incredible and I am sure these lovely animals are grateful for the relief he gives. Keep up the great work!

Fully qualified ones are not. In South Africa it's a 4 year degree plus a masters degree, which can take another 3 to 4 years and 100s of hours of practical plus internship

You have to see their qualifications. I went to a chiropractor for 4 years because of a degenerative bone disease. He kept me mobile for another 4 years. Look for a rehabilitative trained chiropractor.

I COULDN'T GET SUCH THERAPY FOR MY DOG, WAS 16 YEARS OLD AND SUFFERING. WAS TOLD TO PUT HIM TO SLEEP. THIS IS GODS GRACE. BEAUTIFUL.

The owner is an excellent pet parent. She didn't just give up and accept that the immobility is just a symptom of old age. She made sure the dog receives help.

I love when pet parents pay attention to their pets details. Vets seem to want to give a textbook diagnosis. They have joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles, bones and nerves just like us. I am happy for Buddy and Cindy. Love every moment ❤

I took CPR for dogs and cats. It helps so much. I’ve never had to use it, but I’ve learned how to restrain them, where to find their pulse, etc.

I love scruffy dogs THE MOST. I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like. Buddy is dreamy, and I’m so happy with his chiropractic success! 🥳😽🐾

I think one of the more convenient things about senior dogs (or senior pets in general) is that they're understandably skittish in the beginning, as all of them are, but they catch on so much quicker than youngins that this procedure will ultimately make them feel so much better, and they calm down a lot quicker than puppies, who are almost always defensive

I can't believe the difference in that dog Buddy. You can tell the Chiropractic sessions are really making a difference in his gait & his frame. He can walk now, wow. What a lucky dog. My dog Tarbaby was 23 . She developed hip displacement & severe arthritis in her hips. She got to the point where she couldn't walk anymore. I got her a wheel chair, which worked slightly. She was just so old. A very old lady dog. I wish I would have known about a Chiropractor . If nothing else it could have helped relieve pain for her. Her vet had her on Doggie Dans, or Percodan, which is aspirin & Oxycodone. For pain. It also gave her constipation. I think that Chiropractic treatments would have helped to give her some mobility back.

What a remarkable change! At the beginning Buddy looked like a dog that was near his end. Afterwards he presented as almost a decade younger. You must be very happy about the outcome, Doc. 👍

Buddy's made of sterner stuff than I am...I'll have to think of him at my next appointments. I love that you provide this service for animals and pets. I can't imagine being at the mercy of just one venue of care.

On the first visit the dog was afraid of the weird, questionable, sometimes painful experience. Between visits, after realizing he had much better movement, he realized what his mom was doing. During visit #2 you could tell the dog was like 'Okay, I "get" it now!' 🐕

Of COURSE his front legs are splayed - to compensate for the back hip. So, he'll have more tension in the front. I'm so mad these veterinarians didnt even realize the hip was dislocated!!! 🤦‍♀️🤷🏼 Do your job! Thank goodness for alternative medicine and specialty doctors! Thank you Dr. Doug!!! So happy for you, the guardian, and this sweet doggo. ❤❤❤

Wow what a recovery. From not being able to stand to walking again. And I think that we all understand: when you loose the ability to walk, the quality of your life takes a big dip. Especially in case of animals that can not disctract themselves with different activities and find solace in understanding what is going on, having to go through all the pain and fear without even being to express it - and especially in case of a dog that is used to daily long walks with their human. These four sessions could have just easily given Buddy a whole new lease on life. And hopefully it will be years of happiness to come. Buddy could not really say it with words - I am sure that you are well aware of exactly how difficult it is to use a keybord with dog paws and he is a bit old and not very hip with computers anyway - so I will be the messenger here. Thank you, Dr. Doug!

My sweet boy, Barley, almost made it to 17 and I found myself standing up cheering you on as we could see progress upon progress upon amazing progress start to accumulate with your treatment. You, sir, are a refined gentleman and I know your mom loves you with all her heart and treasures every day spent with you. I can't believe you're able to walk a mile already! After receiving his adjustments, Buddy looks like a younger dog! I bet he feels like one too! What a great gift for his 17th birthday! Great video to show how chiropractic works!

Buddy improved in so many ways! He will enjoy his retirement now, with help from mum and Dr D.

I can’t believe I didn’t comment on this video when I saw it. I watched this sad and fragile dog going from non mobility to stand up and ready to go. Life is a challenge as we age but loosing our abilities to be independent has mental blocks that can be a fast process to a shorter life span. Dr. Doug your interaction with these animals seems to just get more amazing to me. Thank you hugs all around to the three of you for sharing.❤❤❤

You can tell you love your work and the relief you give the animals. You are a blessing to those you help, the animals you work on, and the people who love them.

Took my afghan hound to a chiro.years ago for his neck. He helped him tremendously!! Bless the owner for helping the pup

Buddy is a really good boy. Even with those painful spots he didn't get to bad. I'm so glad you were able to do so much in those visits it's so amazing. He is walking so good now 🤯 Thank you for all you do Dr Doug.

Ouch, having had a dog whose hip dislocated, this was a bit hard to watch…but yay! he has improved so much! Look at him go! What about some nice warm water therapy to (re)build muscle?

What a great video. I’m so glad I was able to make it to the premiere. Dr. Doug, you’re the best. You did an Amazing job with Buddy! I was so happy to see him walking again. He’s such a beautiful sweet dog 🥰, and I’m so glad he’s feeling better. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🤗 (PS…Dr. Doug, I found your channel after losing both of my cats in 2020. I swore I wouldn’t get any more cats, but it’s just too lonely without them. So, I finally decided to adopt two more. They were born last month, and I will be able to bring them home in December! ❤️)

Buddy reminds me of our 12 year old St. Bernard/Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. She has hip dysplasia. We have a harness the helps us help her up and down the stairs. Loving kindness to Buddy and his loving family.

My heart is deeply touched by Buddy's patience throughout some very painful adjustments. He is so trusting and sweet. What a joy to see so much recovery of mobility. I wish Buddy more yesrs of a happy life with his human family.

There is a special place in my heart for senior animals period Dogs, Cats, Horses etc and I love and always watch all of your animals videos but I truly believe there is a special place in Heaven for you Doctor for all that you do for both animals and people in general.
