Republicans Lose Big In Ohio, Kentucky and Virginia 2023 Elections + 3rd GOP Debate Reaction

Democrats pull out critical wins for abortion rights in Ohio and Andy Beshear in Kentucky, and deal a big blow to Glenn Youngkin in Virginia. Jon, Dan, and Tommy discuss how Democrats did it, and what it all could mean for Joe Biden next fall. Then, did somebody say "ship gap"?? The third Republican debate goes in some very odd directions-while the front-runner shows off his own brand of crazy at a Florida rally.

Crooked believes that we need a better conversation about politics, culture, and the world around us-one that doesn’t just focus on what’s broken, but what we can do to fix it. At a time when it’s increasingly easy to feel cynical or hopeless, former Obama staffers Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor have created a place where people can have sane conversations that inform, entertain, and inspire action. In 2017 they started Crooked with Pod Save America-a no-bullshit conversation about politics. Since then, we continue to add shows, voices, and opportunities for activism, because it’s up to all of us to do our part to build a better world. That’s it. End of mission.

Trump may try to evade the abortion issue NOW, but in 24 democrats can replay loud & clear his appointment of the SCOTUS justices who helped overturn Roe and replay his remark that "well yes, there should be punishment for abortion." Nails it.

Even if it's a relatively low chance that Trump wins, the consequences would be catastrophic. His first term would look like a picnic; American democracy as we know it would end. The fact that there is a greater than zero chance of that happening should motivate every single one of us.

I’m 28. And I’m on the fence. I’m sure as hell not voting Trump or Kennedy, but I very well leave the top of my ticket blank. The way Bidens been handling Gaza is just wrong. Rashida Tlaib was right to say he’s enabling a genocide. Biden was cool cos he got us out of Afghanistan. He’s got a good anti-war instinct. But it seems like as he’s aging, he’s losing the ability to stand up to the military industrial complex on Ukraine and Israel. He’s even taking a more hawkish position on China. At this point I think he’s getting rolled by the warmongers in his administration and I don’t trust him any my than I trust Trump to keep us out of world war three.

While the definition of genocide technically doesn't allow a trans person to be protected (prolly on purpose) the other aspects of it are as follows: --Killing members of the group-- -*Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group* -*Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part* -*Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group* -*Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group* While there isn't an outright decision to kill trans people yet, they sure are trying to do the other stuff.

Also, the behavior by DeWine and the attorney general after the 10-year-old girl who was raped and forced to go to Indiana story dropped. Where they held a press conference and got on Fox News and accused the family of lying really impacted a lot of parents in the state. It's not hard for someone to imagine what would happen to their own child and how their government with treat them and their child. Family had to have gotten all kinds of hate from the community because of their behavior. Nobody ever seems to mention this on the pundit/mainstream news media but it's brought up constantly here in Ohio.
