Debbie downer here: 1. Yes he was convicted, on 34 counts, but of a class E felony. He's likely not getting sentenced to prison. That alone tempers this whole thing. 2. his base is not going to see this for the gravity that it may deserve. Instead they're going to see prosecution for persecution (Krugman, nyt, 2024). 3. People have actually started donating more to his campaign since. They claim to have raised $34.8Mil from small-dollar donors. This is literally Bernie's 2016 strategy but being co-opted by a grifter and working very well for him. A dollar from a person who doesn't have much money is the highest vote of confidence any politician can get today. A lot more than a vote. Guys, I'm begging you. Please. Vote.
