Great job mate, massively improves the model in my opinion, and doesn't look too tricky to accomplish either. I hope we get new Hormagaunts and Genestealers too !

I was so unhappy with the original pose, I was going to buy a different HQ for the army, but this has just made this guy my favorite HQ option! Thank you for this awesome video! Your repose saved this model!

The arms it originally has are already hormagaunt talons. Those arms you were referring to on the leaper are lictor's arms

I was thinking the same thing with the wings. Nice to see that the change is simple to do.

The old school warrior kit had one set of MASSIVE (relatively) scything talons. I think those would look great on this guy

I love how this is a reposing video, but the actual real/hard reposing work and glueing was done in a jump cut/offscreen. I needed all that talk about the leaper arm kitbash instead of just... seeing the repose.

Great conversion, your pose is so much better than the original which has just something ‘off’ about it!

Nice, looks much better than the standard pose. Wish I had your kitbashing skills. I'm currently struggling to get a parasite of mortrex wing to stay in place, and glue enough rocks to the back of the base to stop it tipping over forwards, wish GW would stop with the topheavy models which don't balance in their standard pose

I put my Parasite's tail straight into a Space Marine torso I glued to the base to hold it down.

So not how I would pose that but I'm just imagining clipping off the head trimming the horn and probably tongue off of it and then adding some big chaos horns and using it as the head of a champion of chaos who has received gifts from the dark gods but is still recognizably in power armor. Also the wings if you puttied up the "flesh vents" could make for an awesome flying chaos marine... or maybe for a kit-bashed Valkia the bloody

I think I want to see if I can drill the back out to be like the Neurotyrant and make the wings attach like that with maybe some tentacles coming out of the lower arms.

I personally think I will have the wings in the upper slot, I just prefer it like that, make it look like it is going to become a winged hive tyrant.

They don’t quite fit because the back carapace interferes with sweeping them backwards. It can be done but would need more sculpting and cutting than I was prepared to do in this. Tag me if you try it tho, please!!!

Great video; I like how you work and explain your thought process. Since you asked, though - I'm probably one of the few who thinks your conversion *didn't* improve on the basic model, which I found quite original and dynamic. Your interpretation is, dare I say it, far too static and conventional for my tastes - apart from the wings theres not much to distinguish it from your bog-standard Tyranid warrior now. But, hey, that's the thing about taste - you don't have to agree with everything and can still enjoy it. I did subscribe in the end though because the video itself is great and I'm really interested in what you'll do in the future!

im gonna try to magnetize the arms so I can quickly switch it between being a winged warrior prime and a regular warrior prime

It’s definitely on the easier side so you should be fine! Remember to cut small amounts off each time you make a cut and keep fitting the part on to see where you need to cut more.

Was there any reason to not put the wings in the upper Slots?

I can't afford Leviathan, I can't afford leviathan, i can't afford leviathan, i can get along with only one kidney....can I? I rather liked the OG pose on the prime, it was unusual. Yours makes him look more threatening instead of "I just got up, can't be bothered, weres the coffee?" Vibe the down wings had going on. Wasn't interested in 'nids that much beyond the obvious "they mostly come out at night, mostly" but the sclupting practice opportunities are really compelling

I'm a little lazy to be honest and i didn't clean this one before priming. I was priming something else and had some left in my airbrush. However, DON'T do that, just get some alcohol or handwash on a cue tip or something and give it a quick wipe when it's dry lol. Mine primed fine, but I don't want to recommend it haha

Honestly, it surprised me just how much it’s changed the look! Gone from my least favourite model inthe box to up competing with my faves!

I like the idea of drilling the carapace and having the wings come from the back giving extra arms to the front or back sockets.

@@ChrisFrosin that’s true. I do love what you’ve done with it. The old pose was very Vampire Counts Bat Like for me. So what you achieved just opens it brilliantly and makes it look more terrifying. Also makes it look more challenging. C’mon have a go if you think you’re hard enough.

OMG, THAT POSE LOOKS WAY COOLER, im using that pose when i get one a few weeks, if thats alright and i will say it was ur idea and i will tell my friends about ur channel too, i just cant wait to see that pose in more armies and that pose does make it look more intimidating too, i dont really like the wings folded down like u said so im very excited that i stumbled onto this video, also i love the content, i just found ur yt channel. cant wait to see more of iur content. :D
