Converting the new Tyranid SCREAMER KILLER! | Warhammer 40k Leviathan

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I team up with the Modern Synthesist to convert the new Scream Killer model from the new Warhammer Leviathan box set. Taking inspiration from the classic metal model, this big is bigger, badder, and more intimidating than ever before.

Thanks to the good homies at Games Workshop for hooking a brother up with the early Leviathan box. I am under NDA with Games Workshop to not disclose details about early stuff, but am under no obligation to promote the things they send me. I am grateful though cause Leviathan truly does rock. But just to be clear, I didn't pay for this box, so I am legally obligated to tag this video as an #ad.

The original Screamer Killer looks like a fleshy head sticking out from a bio-mechanical exosuit of some sort, as if the actual creature is only the head. The same effect comes across in Nick's conversion and paint-scheme, which makes it look almost like a pink brain-monster steering a robot-body. Like a gnarlier Xenomorph-y take on Krang. :)

What a cool colloboration! I was tempted by the big box to start my second army, but I realised I really enjoy kitbashing, so I went with Genestealer Cults instead of Tyranids. Now I see there's a huge potential for sculpting with Tyranids! I've only tried to add a hood and robes to a Dark Angels lieutenant so far, green stuff really requires care and patience.

I know for fact you guys are not going to see this, but I'm curious to know how do you feel about the fact that the tearing it when they fight space marines they were the rip through their armor so easily? Due to 40k lower space, mario armor should be able to shrug off a tank round, hitting it. Understand some of the biological weapons attorney they use, but when it comes to Kohl's quarters combat how does it work? Do they specifically go towards the joints due to multiple deaths of their brothers.

The ugly OG Screamer Killer is what originally got me into 40k. The mod on the new model was a amazing update look, and so true to the original design.

I have had two problems arise that made me delay that project 1) i did a lot of research into what the inside of an authentic tomb really looks like, and it was much different than my expectation. The golden sarcophagus for example is usually nested in several large boxlike shrines and not immediately visible. 2) racoons invaded my garage and messed with the box containing the build from part 1. Regardless, it is coming in the next few months. And more egypt content.

@@EricsHobbyWorkshop Yea, I even heard that tuts coffins/boxes were in parts and put together in the tomb because of how big they were. And that sucks about raccoons messing with your stuff. And that's good that the project is not dead. I love Ancient Egypt, its one of the reasons why I am into Kemetism.

The head on this conversion is incredible! It's my least favourite thing on the new screamer killer (those bits of chitin on the sides just look like a bad hair style). But man, I can't believe how good a job this dude did on the head, and especially the jaw sculpt . It looks genuinely ferocious and powerful. Sinking the head into the upper torso was also a genius move. And the hoofs on the back of the feet was a sweet touch too. I wish I was getting one of these in my Leviathan box.

Your BANG ON with the bad hair do! It's an interesting structure, and it's worth preserving, as I did by moving it to the sides, but I don't love it on the stock head

At one minute and thirty seven seconds some words pop up for just and instant. I spend far too long trying to pause at the right time. It says "THE SWARM DESCENDS TO FEED" now you don't have to look.

the talons on the new GW model are way, way too small. nice job extending them by running them back over the elbow, i figured this dude would be getting 4 whole new arm setups
