I really like the look of these guys, It's a cool starting point for converting loyalists into a chaos corrupted chapter or doing a 1000sons or word bearer heavy warband. I also think that foxfire effect could work really well with the shoulder pads that have the heavy ridge/hawk guard, I also think you could build a crosius from any kind of axe or maul handle an iron halo and one of those nighthaunt heads.

Horrible model to assemble. SO many small details that have no business separate parts, like tiny claws and index claws. Just for the sake of having lots of things to glue together to motivate the horrendous price tag.

Iv currently got this idea buzzing in my head of using wood elf rules to play a fantasy samurai army. Have a leader on a serpent dragon, oni demons as treemen and guys surfing on clouds as eagle riders, plus a thew other ideas. Not sure if im actually gonna go through with it, just a thought 😆

I made Khalida using magic items and I recommend: High Priest: Level 4 wizard, necromancy magic Magic items: Serpent staff Amulet of the serpent Crown of kings Death mask of kharnutt And all of that gives her terror, the unit she attaches too also will have poison attacks and she does poison damage herself

dogmata is currently 45 points and saintly is 10, so for the index version that costs a whopping 55 points. Missionary at 30 points is going away, but we have some cheap characters at 35 like hospitaller and imagifier. Both of those got buffed so I expect them to get a points increase and dogmata to get a deserved points cut. We'll see where we land with the points

Morvenn now also have Dev Wounds. You likely missed that, as you didn't know the previous sheet. Easily made. Sounds like they flipped the W characteristics on the Palatine (Now 3W, you say 4W in Codex // Canoness 4W now and you say 3W in Codex) Or perhaps the JJ Canoness just has 3W to separate her from the on-foot Canoness. Nice to hear that Junith/our leaders overall get access to join more Units, from the old index days. Did they really combine the Imagifiers 2+/4++ into one Ability? Previously it gave Sacrescants a +2, and all other units it attached to a 4++. Made her buff things a lot wider. Ooh they really buffed the Hospitaller to a point where she's useful. BSS got Sticky? Means we lost the MD Generation I suppose.

Yup Morvenn has Dev Wounds and effectively more attacks, Cannoness is 4W, 3W on the jump pack Cannoness, Imagifier gives 2+ 4++, yes, and BSS Give a Miracle Dice on a 4+ if they're on an objective like Dominions and Novitiates.

Sacresancts also now get -1 to wound regardless of which leader joins them, so imagifier now gives them that bonus as well. They also got better weapon profiles. Depending on points, sacresancts might be good again.

I love the scheme, now I definately want to go for bronze weapons on mine. I do want to keep the traditional turqouse accent colour though, so I wonder how it will look. I'm also thinking i'll still use gold on the tomb king and other nobles, it makes sense to me that they would have golden headdresses etc. Is that warcry skeleton you showed one of the Underworlds skeletons but converted to look like a tomb king skeleton?

Nice! Do it! No, they're all Old World skeletons, just some of them have parts from other kits, like armour from the Sphinx skeletons, or Tomb Guard etc :)

Too much trouble for one shield. Dont get me wrong cool idea and I will do it also. 😂 But with huge twists. 😅 Why not make blue stuff mold and making negative of top half. Then pressing in green stuff making another positive. Then you cut green stuff to look good and apply that original bit your worked on top. Et voila. One Lychguard short shield. Lot less messy and helluva lot faster. Also, some form of multifunctional precise power tool is really useful in your way of building. For example … Dremel. You can make that conversion in half the time from original plastic. Caution. Takes a bit time to get used to … but real time saver. Get the one that is as precise as you can afford. It really helps with control. But! Simple cheap one with 4-6 speeds is good enough.

@@ChrisFrosin oh my god! 11!!??!! Hats down! Your patience is infinite. I would really give a try to Dremel, or something similar. Really get precision and speed, after getting used to. I’m looking to upgrade mine to something with more scalable output and little bit less RPM’s … 5000 is bit too much for very precise but chunky work. I already replayed in my head how I will do this conversion, when I get back home from work. 🤣 Just started Kitbashing … it’s lot of fun. Looking for lots of ideas … especially Necron … churn out some more. 😉

Very excited for the new spyrers as I loved them back in the day. That said, I am a bit sad that the Malcadon lost a bit of the original aesthetic, i.e. the tubes running across the arms and backpack and the svelt "spider" suit. I prefer the look of the original Orrus as well.

I think if you used the helmets from the Ad Mech flying troop you might be able to achieve the look. Maybe a leg swap or arm swap too? I was also thinking a flying Ad Mech helm, a van sar upper body, with van saar claws, and necron legs, might make for an original conversion. The Orrus, might be converted from the upper body and legs of those SM suits with the bolter gloves, remove all SM accesiries, take off the bullet threaded backpack, maybe use a bald masked Goliath head or SM cyborg type head. Also the lower legs of the SM Reaver might make for a slimmer leg profile.
