Love this video Pye! Also love how you shared CAMP with everyone. That has been something on my mind since learning it in the SLR Lounge online courses.

Yeah, he went too fast for the flash at full power HSS to recharge a couple of times - that they showed. I actually prefer the ones without the light...if it was later in the day the light would have worked for me on this shoot.

I like it without sun also, but I'm surprised with f 1.4 - I'm always affraid to use it because of really thing DOF.

Hey Pye great video I have one question ? did you change your WB or did you leave it at 5500?

From what I saw, he left his wb at whatever setting his neutral is. If he adjusted it, everything in the image would look either warmer or cooler, and it didn't. He kept the added sunlight to the back and he focused on the couple alone

So let's be honest: For the effect I am faster in Photoshop and I do not have to retouch the tripod and annoy me with the extra flash.

You miss out on the shadow and definition on the people. Also just opening Photoshop would be slower than just placing the flash. :)

@@dayleyhighlights "Also just opening Photoshop would be slower than just placing the flash." Then you should get yourself a faster computer ;-) The flash from behind only creats a flare effect. No more. Look the comparison 3:12-3:14

I agree that it might be faster in Photoshop, but the flash doesn't only create a flare effect. If you look closely at the comparison you marked, there's a stark difference of flash light falling on the subjects faces, hair, sweater, rim light on the guy and more. A flare effect, while nice, is not the same. And to me, these details are what separate the pros from the amateurs. I'm not saying you're an amateur, I'm just saying that he's a pro and this is one reason why.

@@willmen08 A light from behind can´t falling on the subjects faces! A pro leaves out superfluous things that the customer does not see anyway and provides him with results in a very short time that he is satisfied with!

Love You Photography You don’t see the additional light on the girl’s face at 3:15? You can’t do that with a flare- the light would go everywhere. The extra light is not ‘superfluous’ if it adds dimension and contrast. Also, the time it takes you to add a cheap flare is the same time it took him to remove the light stand, but his photo is better because of the reasons I said before.
