My flash phobia was from using my F100 and sb-28 flash. The photos were awful. But now we are in a digital age I would love to try flash again knowing I can quickly review and take another photo with different settings.
Thank you so much for making this video using flash! This helps me to not be afraid of using the flash & I have a Neewer Speedlite NW561 OFC for my canon eos 90D and I was scared to use flash attachment but not anymore! When you increased the shutter speed to 1/1600, wouldn't you be in HSS?
@d.williams2568
Жыл бұрын
Yes, he really missed the point of noting that at that shutter speed you need both a flash and a camera capable of HSS, and both set to that function... Also he really could have made the simple point that there are TWO simple exposures going on to match for a pleasing single exposure: Ambient exposure-influenced by shutter speed and ISO (yes also F/Stop is there but less so...), and Flash exposure-influenced by aperture(F/stop), ISO, and flash power/distance... Makes it easier to balance the exposures when you understand the see-saw of these on the shot...just saying...
@tharso_mncube

I was about to ask the same question… So now my question is, how do you go about this with a camera that isn’t capable of HSS?
@jaym5938
Жыл бұрын
@@tharso_mncube If you have to increase your shutter past Max Sync, try using an ND filter. A variable is convenient but a single f-stop ND filter will likely be better.

Great video , from venezuela
However, you can only use shorter shutter speeds than the regular standard flash sync speed of the camera (1/200 or 1/250 as a maximum) if both (!), i.e. the camera and the system flash, enable the so-called "High Speed Sync (HSS)", otherwise this doesn't work. That could well have been mentioned in this video because it's an important aspect here.

How to set flash with 200mm f2.8 lens?
Question I get from those who did photography for a long time is "what mode do you use when you shoot?"
At around 8:17, how did you get the flash to not reflect off the glass behind the model? I would think even pointing the flash up would still produce some light on the glass.
Andrews tu mets priority A et flash tu sort -e 3 il iso auto 100-640 pour dehors c'est le TOP pour l'intérieur remettre les il a 0.0
I'm having difficulty with TTL flash. Images appear darker even there is lot of light. So when we are shooting events, do we switch to manual flash entirely? But then lighting conditions also change at different spots in the same location. How we counter that?
Hello sir andrew, can i ask what is much better TTL or manual?

Been a long time since I used on camera flash. I think the last time may have been in the 90s in a fashion walk. Nowadays I am much more of a landscape /fine art photographer with 4X5 cameras. @@veeaa If you read my post, you'd notice I wrote that nowadays I shoot mostly with 4X5 cameras, these use film BTW . As for shooting raw, I have been shooting RAW if and when I used a digital camera since early 2001. I have used Lightroom from Version 1, and prior to that Apple Aperture, and even The RAW Shooter that Adobe acquired, and used their RAW processing engine in their Camera Raw. MY point was to arrive at a workflow where conistency in skin tone could be achieved without time consuming post processing. Easier said than done.
