Save that old bit!!! They are great for hard clay. They do not get stuck like the new one. You new one is great for sand and rock.

That is a good tip (pun intended). Although, I was trying to dig in hard clay. And it was not pulling down. Looking back, I could have tried replacing the cutting blades as well, since they were shot also.
