Stumbled across your video. Just wanted to say thank you for your service! Hope you’re doing good. I just bought a 1977 w200 power wagon for 600 and it’s in desperate need of help. I’ve been a mechanic for 30 plus years and have never done a mechanical fuel pump on a dodge. Only electric in tank ones. looks a bit easier than a small block Chevrolet. No pushrod to pin up with a bolt at least.

Ik this is late but the inner bolt on the fuel pump, how long did it take you to get off? Or did you do something special?

Whole reason I watched this

I been told I have a 77 dodge d100 extra cab pickup. So it’s been turning off on me when I go to stop. So I have to put it in park and sometimes have to keep gassing it to keep it alive. So I was told to first start by replacing the fuel filter and see if that got clogged up. Then if that doesn’t fix the problem then replace the distributor. But I’m thinking it’s the fuel pump. What do u think I should do?

I had the same issue after I replaced the pump and it was a clogged filter have you done anything to the carb? Because if the filter and pump don't do it then I'd get your carb rebuilt and tuned

Any special way the new pump goes on?

Do you have to line something up inside the engine?

I apologize for not responding sooner but not that I know of I thing gm's have a rod that needs lined up but it should just slide in and bolt up
