After installing new cartridge, you can use the copy feature on the printer to validate the Black & Color ink.

Thank you for showing everything so simply! This is the only printer I have ever had that you have to turn upside down to change the ink! I would have never found it without your video!

On my printer it doesn't let me change it just stays on color any suggestions for what I can do?

I think you can reinstall the software, you should able to pick grey/black and white if you have both ink cartridges.
