Just found it and removed the old glue residue, of course the glass had fallen off. And of course I have already subscribed your Channel. Have two C64 mainboards that just wont work....

One 250407, one 250425. Both show blackscreen. Made all the usual tests (voltage etc.). Dead test cart shows one flash, sometimes more (which is strange). Manual of the dtc tells me that there might be some datalines stuck, but until now I dindt find something. All "big" chips tested in my testboard, all are functioning. RAM and logic ICs etc. as well. Checked for cracked lines / wires, didnt see anything. Scope showed weird data lines of the processor at the 250407, but the processor is ok. Changed the socket (btw, all ICs are socketed now...). Little more can I do, I have not checked some of the logic ICs so far. Any ideas…?

Hmm.. I had one that drove me nuts. But in the end it was one IC socket that had a pin floating. Check all ICs meassure from the actual pin of the ic for broken traces. Also remove all ics thats not needed to boot.

Nice job there ! Do u have any tips for putting the video and the audio together ...do you have it all scripted or you just press the REC button and start talking?

Hello. Well I usually record everything and lay the audio on afterwards. Its not scripted but I get a general idea when I cut. Then I just speak.
