Repairing Daikin UF Error
This fault was caused by a faulty outdoor Printed Circuit Board. In this video I replaced the PCB and the outdoor fan motor which was also on its way out.
Below I have listed the Tool Bag and Tools that you see me use personally in my videos. By using these links it doesn’t cost you anymore however by doing so you are helping the channel grow.

You did good changing the fan motor too. If it was my own, out of warranty, I might see how much longer I could get out of it. But I’d always have a spare sitting in the box ready to go.

You are 100% correct on replacing the fan motor. Mitsubishi has a similar setup on one of their models where the board is upside down abs you have to be a contortionist to see the blink code. Great job stay well.

Great video and good point regarding replacing the motor that was obviously on the verge of failure. BTW, how long did you spend making the repair vs time spent making & editing video?
Well done Mitchel, that old saying, if its worth doing do it well 👍

Dead right changing the FM. You can clearly see the new one rotates alot easier than old one.

Nice video! I don't like the grille they have, the old one would've looked much better.

Thanks mate. Yeah I think they put it on so a kid can’t climb up and fall off the balcony.

@@zanelancaster2007 I’m pretty sure it’s actually a requirement here in Australia for new builds. So unfortunately if the unit is on a balcony close to the edge, you need to modify it. Thanks mate

@@maracservices Ahh okay. I think my family needs to change that soon...
Ok forgot to mention that used way too much thermal paste, obviously you've never read or researched how to do heatsinks. watch a video of how to install thermal paste on processors. That board won't last long if thermal paste all over it and they make thermal paste remover/cleaner, then you use the primer on both surfaces.

See, you're using 5 change outs worth of thermal paste 😅

I’m a generous guy what can I say lol
Why do all that work and not even clean the fan blade? You're already putting a strain on a new motor. "Typical Lazy tech" would've taken 10 minutes to clean fan & spray condenser coils with water from inside unit out while all covers are off.

Oh give it a rest hero. That tiny amount of dust on the fan blade is not going to strain the motor and the coil is spotless. You always do pointless work for free?
