Thanks for the video! I have just one male post to replace on my Harley Leather jacket, I was going to buy a tool set and a snap set, I think I'll just buy a small snap set and try it with a screwdriver.

Is there a way to make the snap stay together better without replacing them? I saw somewhere about using pliers to squeeze the male ever so slightly / out of round and it holds better? would you bother with that? And on the female too?

Hi, squeezing the male end should work in most cases, but definitely not the female side. It will prevent the snap from working

hi mate, UK viewer here, the female button part has come off my niece's purse, the bit it snaps into has come off and there is only a little round metal circle underneath where the button used to be.....please help.....thank you...:-))

Hello Ali, It sounds like you need to replace the whole snap. You can remove the metal circle where it used to be and place a new snap there. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask them, I'll be happy to help.

If I were to buy these snaps what would I type in the search bar? Obviously they're metal snaps but what are is the official name for them. I bought a leather product online which sucks because the proper size is never made correctly it's always made too small so I need to make my own and it requires snaps.

WD-40 sparingly. When snaps get rusty, dirty or bent they will stick. Best of luck...

Anyone know a good way to pull a female snap off a male snap? Head pulled out of female and it’s stuck on.

WD40 and a small flat head screwdriver but be careful not to get too much on the leather. It will stain if it's a premium or soft leather.
