ok so what level did you start that push, and how long did it take you. I'm triple locked and lvl 39. I've pulled the pin on lvl 40, and am starting my push up now.

thought it'd take *forever* at the time, but rep point gain from dailies does increase from time to time and not always at rep lvls either

at the end i got about 5mill rep points per day (not counting the points i got from grinding)

I dual factioned fed/kli and locked at around lvl 32. Then I was able to lock rom in about a month. So triple locked at lvl 35 now, working on getting an augur and enterprise. But I’m still doing all three dailies, except I only grind rom and kli so using reputation along to boost fed. I know some people who tried single faction and by level 26 or so were really struggling to do dailies killing lvl 39 hostiles.

We have a number in our alliance who went single and struggled. We have helped them learn the value of dual grinding because some of them had rep over 30 mil at ops 35. I have all 3 locked in low 30s and will collect all 3 till I'm ready to push past 30 mil rep at ops 39 and ready to jump into the 40s and into deep space.

Don’t get an augur, save the mats for buildings and enterprise. I regret getting an augur now and spending all the mats on it.

I totally agree with this! I went Rom, I collect only Rom dailies and do my 25 kills in Sol, It’s been months and I’m only at 225 million Rep

I dual factioned without even realizing what I was doing.. I went rom and klingon and because I had rom ships, killing feds was easy, so I always killed feds. worked put amazing. another tip is keep all of the missions for the faction you aren't grinding. it gives you enough to get to positive territory so that you can start getting the third faction dailies sooner. think it took me a few days to get feds to positive.

I did not dual faction. I was level 25 and already pushing for 10mil with Fed when I learned about it. I was -2mil with the others. But now I'm 27, and working toward Tri-lock. Thank you for pointing out the importance of officers early on. It has made a world of difference.

I have a triple faction lock (10M) at level 21 ;) It goes faster once you get Pike & Moreau.

I agree i dual factioned early 20s am now lvl 38 with iver 38k 30min speedups..i get more speedups i can spend and it helps not worrying..it was a bind to get 3rd faction lock from -3m to +10k..i would advise new players to save missions too and only do missions that give faction points needed...i saved my rom missions and got a lot if 100k points to help me get triple locked..please mention missions as their rewards can be important too

I strongly believe that dual faction grinding is great for any f2p or low spenders into 40+. I went for fed ships in my 30s, now I'm ops 41 and I've already got 215k klingon credits and that's with buying recruit tokens literally every single day. So by alternating which faction is going to be a player's primary faction for ships (choose one faction for 30-34 ships, a different faction for 42-50 ships) you make it easier to have the hundreds of thousands of credits needed for the ships at 41+. Theoretically, by the time I make it into 50+ I will have hundreds of thousands of fed credits to make it easy to buy fed ships in 51+ and go back to fed primary for my ships.

Rev ... your title suggests you're going to answer the 1B/15B solo/dual grind question.... but then punted. Looking forward to that video.

I am dual grinding Fed/Rom I found a good way if one rep starts getting higher than the other is I will only "Join Event" on the rep that is lower do that daily event Then I only do the lower daily for that higher rep. That has helped me to keep them even. I started dual grinding based on your videos. And am planning on holding at level 29 to build my resources and Vi'Dar

I am doing Fed Klingon Dual. By maximising my Federation Apprentice & Federation Devotion researches and using an Enterprise for hunting, I get similar point for both Fed and Klingon factions

That's one thing I wish I would've done, I'm so far behind on Klingon and romulan it'll take me forever to get either of them up

I chose to do single rep grind, At 7.6mil with roms at level 29. I know others have maxed out sooner but I ran into the issue of being unable to complete faction hostile daily's and this caused a reduction in how much rep points I gained each day.

Single grinding- locked fed at lvl 34. Camping at 35 while working on the other two. Not ideal but it’s working for me. I needed something to slow me down so I see it as a good thing.

One point you may have forgotten, you're gonna need those speed ups to get out of the 2 mil hated. Took me around 1200 30 min speed ups grinding 29k rep per run with max Sally and PMC. When you can't do dailies it's nice to have the speed ups saved up.

I duel factions locked at lvl 30 and tri-locked 3 1\2 weeks later it was good advice

if you can grind in ty'gokor that's the place to do it.. you can get two locks there in a couple weeks. it's the highest pay out for feds and rom anywhere in non deep space. it's even higher than many early deep space sytems

I feel like a very important point was disregarded in this video, and that is knocking back down your rep in order to be able to keep doing all your dailies. Gathering the rep itself is a fairly easy task, but getting the faction credits is much less so. To do this, you must keep your quests at a level that can be completed every day. This is not obvious as your rep will go up very very quickly. The difficulty of the hostiles you need to grind (and the quantity of ore that needs to be mined) depends on your rep. As you grind your faction, your rep will always go up way too fast. What I have been doing at level 17 for some time now is every day after my dailies are done, I kill some of both factions until my rep is back down to where I started that day. I will keep doing that until my ship tiers up so that it can grind the next level of hostiles. This way, my faction credits each day are maximized.

Tip for lower level players: pick up all the faction missions you can, but don’t do them until you’re ready to grind that faction’s rep. There are big rep points (relatively) on some of the lower missions. You can go from max negative rep to even in a single day. It’ll get you to that triple lock more quickly.

Ops 37 here with 69k 30 minute speedups. They accumulate very fast if you dual faction and even more after tri lock.

When doing duel faction grinding the Vidar and borg refinery make the process way easier to keep in balance

Ops 33 now, been trilocked since 31. I have been grinding dailies for all 3 since just for the credits. Already have around 17k 30 min speed-ups

I'm lvl 41 and have 48k - 30 min repair speed ups from faction grinding and now doing dailies for all 3 factions

I dual grind but some how I got them uneven a bit, my Kling is 1.2mil away from the 10mil mark but my Fed is one lvl behind. As for the transporter patterns, It was faster for me to to it with the Augments, the one with only 3 officers. I just kept buy that one and now it's giving me transporter patterns. I used it to unlock Georgio since I had only a few more shards to go to unlock her.

Im level43 now, all thre faction 1st lock done, +45M need to Fed second lock ( 1B :D ) With tier5 Kelvin easy do 25x lev48 and bigger faction hostile and 125k 4*gas easy too. Always killing klingons, but Hydra +refit skin i need a Bchor too with refit. :D

Yeah, I'd be really interested in a video about why you go for dual faction above 10 mil

@@theonlykinkyjesus From 39 on, I only hunted in Ty'Gokor until I locked Feds at 1b, now only killing feds and 95m from locking Roms at 1b. Went Valdore route and used the Jelly events to tier the ship, almost ready to unlock Pilum and at L45.

I tri faction locked by lev 28 and am doing a slow dual lock in fed and rom now

I'm lvl 41 and still dual faction by choice. Auto-grinding is a big part how I got champion klingon. Yes, that 1B rep.. pew pew!

So What is the tip for up 40s. For self I Solo grinding first to one Billionen then Dual Fraction. My tatic for the 1 Billion Rep is Solo Rom first also hiting Klingeon and doing mission. So I can get my Valdore and Pilum Fast. I also grind in Sol with my Augur. 1 1/2 run I get my Hostile Faction Daily get most Rep. You can grind Newton Kelvin and Hydras or Save some bp form them if you do your Daily in Sol. Kronos and Romulus is the same you get Uncommon und Rare bp. Get the Most rep. For other Ship charts I go in DS with my Valdore. It is also important don't lose Rep by using Faction ships. Your rep Grinding will get faster.

an advantage grinding on rom is Tri and Di. the rss most needs

I completely single rep grinded each faction, but was focused on it enough that I was tri-locked by ops 30

I single faction and I have 2 at the 1B lock. For lower level players dual faction is better for officers, obviously, but at the higher levels it’s better to single faction to get the L46 ships faster.

Seconded on the repair speedups from the tri-lock...I have 67.1K 30-minute speedups at Ops 35. About dual grinding, though...in my opinion there's a bit of an 'it depends' whether you want to do it or not. If you're concerned about your ability to complete the higher dailies, it makes perfect sense to hold the easier faction back so you don't outrep what your ships can handle. This is the same concept as not hitting Celebrated before you're able to mine G4, only in the 20s. But if I am capable of completing the higher rep level's dailies then I think I would blast through one faction as fast as I could. I would have about half of the second faction done by that time, and getting both locked would take less total time than bringing them up together. That second (and third) faction goes really quick when grinding the same level hostiles that you ground to get to Respected in your first faction compared to slogging through the tiny rep gains of lvl 20 traders early on. It takes some work on ships and research to get that capable that early, but it can be done. By the way, this goes for both hostiles and mining...early on, I got myself into a rep level where my tiny surveys were unable to complete the mining dailies in the time I had available to play and had to resort to setting timers throughout the night to wake up every two hours or so to tend to them. I don't recommend this for ANYONE. Don't let your rep outpace your miners. Everybody's progress is different, though...and for many dual grinding is just what they need.

Any tip for how to rep grind from low level player and when to start

Dual Server (22 & 69 - ops lvls 44 and 38) 100% free to play player here. I recommend dual Fed and Rom. I recommend that because Chen is stronger than Tlann in terms of mitigation. If you want to focus on mitigating energy weapons you want to be attacking explorers and if you want to attack explorers you want to be using a battleship and therefore should go Rom. Fed is second faction because of power of Moral Crew. Also don't underestimate the power of Discipline Crew when officers are relatively week which also supports Rom. You should target getting enough credits for Legionary at Ops/shipyard 26. Invest fed credits in shards. I got to shipyard 26 with only a T4 Kehra, T2 Vahklas, No upgrades to Kumari to save for Legionary. Also need exo parts for Franklin and Int parts for vidar

u can use your mission to set up an imbalance for your grind.ie grinding klingons but do Rom missions. they will balance out in the grind

I was doing the dual faction and completed a federation mission. I won 100k in federation reputation and it lowered the klingon and romulan reputation dropped 100k and made them enemy's and I couldn't recover

Novice question , rev you mentioned that you don't do mining. How do you get the Gas, ore and crystals that you need

dual faction all the way up to ops 49. imho best decision I ever made. having hit the 1.1bn mark for Fed+Rom the dailies turn almost impossible to complete on ops 49. Therefore, I shall grind 1bn Kln rep now🤣(or accept that doing reputation dailies is a massive time sink)

well, I would be very curios about your thoughts about the "dual faction" ops 40+ and above. I might started too early, ops 37/38ish , with breaking through the 30 Mil/G4 mining dailies Rep.-Step, but it finally paid out for me. I got my Rom credits and the necessary Reputation quite before I reached ops/shipyard 42 and I was able to build my valdore. Just 95 Mili Reputation to be "glorified" with Feds/ Rom and be able to claim Pilum shards, but until 1 bill Rep, its seem quite hard and far away.

I am not sure this video actually explains what it is, just encourages us to do it.

Quick? About the desealing rod weren't we told when you have 1k broken ones they can get a good 1. I went from 7 to 2 days overnight and can't find anything to change them over

What i really need to know is why so few officers are available to buy with transporter patterns. Just open them all up, Scopely!

Am i right in guessing the reason for trilocked at 34 is first to get access to lvl26 ships to scrap, then the transporter patterns from all 3 faction recruits?

It is very nice to get patterns from all 3 faction recruits. scrapping maxed d3 and legionary is a great way to get a lot of primes for free.

@RevDeuce, I'm OPS 25 with 6.5M Rom rep. Fed & Klingon are floored at -2M. Should I keep moving to 10M or pause and work on one of the others. I am currently camping at 25.

Level 16 newbie here, any advice on which 2 factions to focus on? Or what are the pros/cons of different combinations.

As an early player, getting Hull Breach (klingons) and Morale (federation) sets are usually the go to officer choices. But, truly, there isn't a wrong set of choices.

Dual Faction grinding early is a fairly simple concept and easy enough to do. I did my third 10m lock with a Legionary in 47 hours from -200k to 10m. But what are the best (read: most efficient) methods to go from 3x10m to a 1B lock, especially for players in the low 40s whiteout the lvl 46 ships? The high Rep levels are mandatory for both the OPS41 miners as well as the OPS42/46 ships, so Rep grinding is really mandatory in this level range. (I find that the 1500 hostile kill-limit from Scopley pushes players towards bot-farming, because few people have two hours EVERY DAY for months on end to farm Hostiles for Rep.)

Is that really a problem? I am not there yet, but from all players in my alliance i hear Faction rep is never a problem anymore. By the time you need to build a 4 Star Miner you will have the Rep in at least 1, maybe even 2 factions. So most of them simply continue dual faction grinding and build it up slowly. And then again I never heard anyone complain in the high 30s or 40s that rep is a problem.

@@Phazonis I stayed at 10m per faction until 41. Now I CAN farm about 3m Rep per hour in TyGokor, but that’s 330 hours for the 1B lock. I just don’t have the time or patience to do a completely mindless and boring grind for 330 HOURS!!! Plus, you can’t even spend a vacation or weekend day or two farming anymore, because there’s a daily 1500 kill limit for Rep and loot. Supposedly to discourage bot use, but for me it’s doing the exact opposite.

@@jochenx6944 Guess we found the problem. Why did you stop rep grinding until Ops 41? I can understand stopping at the triple lock for a bit, but not until ops 41. Most simply dual faction grind by doing their hitting enemies daily and rep is not a problem.

@@Phazonis I did all three faction dailies every day. So now I’m drowning in credits (350k/450k/370k), but don’t have the Rep. Getting the Rep required for one 46 ship before I’m 46 isn’t that hard, but I want to move to triple-lock at 3x 1B Rep. -> Every bit of added efficiency helps. Btw, I’m willing to argue that this strategy is fairly optimal for someone that spends a limited time in the game and not 5 hours/day.

Depends! If you're moving pretty quickly, one faction is best, if you're moving more slowly (say lvl 42 to 46 is 8 or more months) dual is the path i recommend

this vid is great but is indeed too short rev :) im op31, tri locked. got t3 mor and max chen so no issue doing tygokor, but i discovered i had 15M/14M fed/rom so fast, within a month, i stopped. i can not affotd to get to 30m so fast, right? im no ready to mine in DS ! so i need yoir next video, haha. so right now i do all 3 faction dailies but i started by killing fed and kli, now i kill Rom and kli. seeing how it goes...

Correct, the 10M/1B/15B are the only points you can't lower from

I been Tri faction grinding for a few months now lol Much better to lock all 3 factions and then grind 1 faction to 2nd lock at a time Save for at least 1 Epic ship and the Vi'Dar maxed is Better than all level 26 and 28 faction ships till you get ro level 34 to save and build your 1st epic ships when reaching faction 10 million lock per faction. I'm not saing this is the best way to play, but it's worked very well for me And thanks for all your tips Rev

Short answer: never. Dual grind Fed/Rom in Ty'gokor, then go kill feds, and max out the faction devotion research in the galaxy tree.

I'm level 35 tri-faction locked and I plan on dual faction grinding to 1 billion. Just need to figure out if I'm going Klingon or romulan with my federation.

Depends on your ship. If you have an Enterprise, use it to hunt Romulans. It would be more efficient to use an Augur and hunt Klingons in TyGokor, though. (There are researches that boost the faction rep you gain for the same faction whose ship you use. -> Augur with „+Rom faction rep gain with Rom ships“ research used against Klingons in TyGokor boosts Federation and Romulan Rep almost equally.)

@@jochenx6944 can confirm: grinding with Augur inTyGokor, and the progress is balanced also watch out for certain rep step, where negative rep of the higher faction could impact the progression of the lower on. IIRC I hit such a step at 260M

First of all, thanks for the video! I’m one of those ppl on Twitch who always complains about knowing how to sub with prime, but not being able to do it on my mobile device. I figured out how to do it using this 2min, 14 sec video! Please feel free to save the link for when people ask: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fo1-ss2EgcKzoNo.html. Second, there are so many nuances to keeping your dual factions close that I would love to see you address which you dismiss by saying you can just skip that faction’s dailies for a few days. 1. The faction of the ship you are using makes a big difference. I am killing Klingons and finding that my Romulan rep is growing faster than my fed rep, so I am using my enterprise to grind rather than my augur. 2. Rather than skipping dailies and losing those faction tokens, why not complete the third faction dailies by grinding your highest faction until it is level with #2? Optional: use highest faction ship to accelerate this process. 3. Faction rep exocomps It seems like simply skipping several days with your “primary” faction just leaves a lot of benefits on the table.

After reaching 10m fed faction rep and then research federation ship structure, 400k fed points, will the fed rep remain at 10m?

So the battle pass points stopped just short or giving us an event ticket for today. Maybe they are wanting us to buy the points or tickets!?

Nah. The later milestones always do this where we don't get enough pts to hit a milestone every single day. Think about it. We're just short of milestone 14 on day 10 of the arc but there are still 10+ days left from today (12 May) to hit those last few milestones. Do the BP events every day of the arc and you will complete the milestones and also complete the BP Heroic overflow that expires on the last day of the arc.

Is it possible to Dual Faction at a later lvl? I am Friendly Federation, but Hostile in both Romulan and Klingon, is it still posible for me to reverse this?

Well I'm Celebrated Klingon personally. Going up that high your dailies are going to jump tremendously. If you want to get your Dailies back to level 40, time to kill Romulan traders. PLUS the Borg refinery.

I'm doing Federation only and level 33. I ended up being stuck 2 Mill in the Red on both Romulan and Klingon and haven't been able to get either back down so I can dual grind. How would you suggest I pull them back or is it too late to even try?

never too late. Short answer, grind, grind grind. If your fed is close to 10M go ahead and lock it then dual klingon/rom to safety

Sure. you just have to pick which one - Feds or Klings - and push that one until they match your Rom. That Rom rep will come down to meet the one you pick.

Ya know? Nico's right. Since Associate goes from 2m - 10m and fed and klings are both enemy... that will be quite a lot of rep to bring the Rom down to meet one. You may as well just hit the 10m lock with Roms. Then maybe dual faction fed and kling from enemy. As Rev says in the video tho, killing Roms will earn 2:1 rep Kling over Fed so odds are you'll lock Kling before Fed naturally.

Hey rev, thanks for the video, I'm ops 41 grinding fed and rom, is there any recomendation on where to grind? Tygokor is getting a bit tedius should I switch to DS.

The simple truth is, that TyGogor is in essence an lvl49 system with weak hostiles, thus any DS system will provide harder hostiles, with less rep. due to another bug, you can actually keep grinding your daily till you reach 260M. for efficiency reasons, stick to TyGokor, and only move to DS, if needed for the daily. once you see the repair costs of the lvl42 ship you know why.

@@jochenx6944 just that it counts to the 25 kills needed. if 260M per day would be possible, then the 1B lock would only be 4 days out....

Tri- faction is kinda the point, I got it at 32, but you guys go ahead and go dual-faction lol

I did single faction to each 1 Billion. Just faster to me.

You explain how dual rep faction grinding is so good BUT you don't say how to start it! I have no idea, all I get is some very rare little missions with +60 rep here and there.

what if someone didnt dual faction and got into a rut how would u get out of the hole quickly

What is grinding.

At what point do you stop caring about keeping rep levels even? I'm Klingon fed. I'm currently at 4.4M Klingon and 3.9M Fed. I've kept my rep levels even up until the 2M mark. I'm tempted now not to even them out again, allowing Klingon to get to 10M before fed, then farming klingon ships to get fed up to 10M as well.

Depends on your pain tolerance :) If you don’t mind farming A LOT of hostiles in a short amount of time, then sure, you can focus on single factions. If you want to be efficient about your time spent on grinding, then keeping two equal factions saves time in the long run. I kept Fed/Rom equal until 10m and then pushed Klingon from -200k to +10m in two days at OPS32.

Its what I hate from the game, it should be able to choose faction from beginning and only one
