what ship is the best for getting 3* materials by scrapping. I am getting stuck leveling my ships because the refinery pays out so little. i really think the refinery should do better considering the time it takes to mine. maybe Scopely should make them better so we dont get stuck and uninterested in the game so much.
just got hit with an incursion, last I checked my server was down over 1.2 trillion points to our 37, what moron at scopely thinks that's fun or a good way to retain players? COMPLETE waste of time. An even matchup is fun, this was unbelievably dumb.
I try to have one scrapping consisteently. they are easy to get BP, and not to hard to tier up, and then auto grind to level 45.. -- the tier ups make Faction hunts easier.. and less grind.. and a decent source of 4* RSS
Good joke😂
Well, it is really up to the player. I skipped 2 of 3 of them, but then have since built about 3 or 4 of each and scrapped them. So my answer would be to initially skip them, with the benefit of growing more quickly, and then when the 3* materials are piling up in the upper 30 ops levels, start building and scrapping. As for operationally, I wouldn't slow down and build a 3* faction ship until I can build a Saladin. That ship is useful up to the 3* Epics. And of course, it is cheaper to Cloak a level 26 ship as you say, so if you are looking for cloaking research creds, then it is worth it to build one just to keep it in your stable for 3 hostile cloak kills a day.
Can't you do the Cloaking with the Discovery?????
Is this the start of a series?
The state of the game is that they introduce features way faster then they abandon them, causing the game to be convoluted and riddled with unaddressed bottlenecks, causing the power level between f2p and (heavily) paying players to become astronomical, making PvP at ops 40+ virtually obsolete. Before introducing yet another currency, expansion, grind loop etc., enhance the stuff there already is. Where is the F2P path to all the forbidden techs? How can I get more upgrade materials for it? Ex-Borg is a step in the right direction, now do something similar for everything else. Heck, perhaps they should simply cut certain aspects from the game entirely if they don't bother keeping it updated. Who still uses exocomps? 200% extra damage does next to nothing with all the stuff that was added recently.
Absolutely you should. Jelly - North Star - vahkless - 26 faction - 28 faction different type - 34 epic.

Once you get to 26 of course you are gonna want to get a faction ship. They are must haves to advance for that point in time. I will agree that the first one you get is the least important out of the 3 main ones
Still use it during TC
The armada hunt next to last tier only gave me 1 carol freeman shard instead of 5
MY ADVICE IS TO NOT PLAY THIS "GAME" ITS DOO DOO, PLAYED IT FOR 3 YEARS WASTER OF TIME AND MONEY
Not bad for cloak and always nice to scrap a maxed one for 4* mats at scrapyard 32 or 34 or whatever and start buying prime researches that take the G4 mats.
I build them to scrap, only way to get enough parts for the kelvin
Great vid, and I especially enjoyed hearing from MrTiger and have a message for him regarding something actionable :) I have a pet peeve that I think is easily actionable: XP grinding for ships is not fun or reasonable. But especially for surveys it's silly to need to kill hostiles. So, I think surveys should get XP for mining (or docking, so Amalgams get XP for raiding also).
Just unlocked the Bajoreon store and at ops lv 29 don't know is that is a big deal but is to me 😊
Cheap cloak for TT capture 😊
Was the galaxy tree even there when we got into the lvl 26 faction ships ?
I camped 39 for a long while. Scrapping L26 ships meant I could continue to compete in SLBs even after I had tiered everything else up. It also meant I had a very handy stash of 4* ready and waiting once I moved into the 40s
Honestly, they should add the ability to swap upper deck and lower deck officers on your ship, without having to return to your station. I mean.... they're already on the ship.
Building and scrapping d3+mayflower is going to keep money in your pocket scrapping these ships and earning some primes at 34 ops. Get the 26 and 28 ships, skip 32 and go to 34.
Churning g3 ships to generate g4 materials is a time vs money 💰💰💰 factor that you will have to start looking at at 42 ops. 90% of players don't even get to that 42 ops.
I have 2 of them. Slowly upgrading them was hopefull that when maxed it would be worth something. Now hear this, how sad. They should come up with sarc-a and give it teeth
Without even watching the video, I say yes! Building the Mayflower, Legionary, and D3 is essential in preparing for the G4 economy. Scrapping these ships is the primary source of obtaining 4* ship parts. I've lost count of the number of these ships I've built and scrapped, and my Korinar and Pilum builds are stalled at tier 6 because of how many ship parts are still needed. The output of the ships parts refinery simply does not compare to the payout from scrapping these ships.
north star > Vidar > Sally > Ent / Talios. that's all you need to get into the 40's feel free to sprinkle in voyager, amalgam and 1 survey of each grade
Scopely: isn’t it time to include a ‘total damage done’ pie chart to armada battle logs? The export function was a good start but it’s too much hassle.
Watching the State of the game, I did some mining in MU to give it a chance. Trillium A, slower mine, 17k per hour. Faster one, 36k per hour. Ops 50, Vorta Vor t9, level 40, FT mining bonus +75%, Crew mining speed bonus +440%, maxed MU mining research. Absolutely not worth it 🤷♂️
Ok. Best part of that was when Rev says mining provides no benefits. It was like the lights went off and that guy’s world ended.
I refused to get the Mayflower cause of its name. It's a sissy name.
GET A NORTHSTAR, RIDE IT TILL YOUR SALLY.
I have to know where he is mining and what the crew is. I just checked with my Nova and I’m at 30k/hour…
I tier these up to complete faction hunt every end of arc. The 3* cost is negligible after ops 36
Built and scrapped many of the entry level ships in my now lvl 54 account along the way for G4 parts. ABS, Always be scrapping! Is required unless you have a large CC limit. In my now lvl 29 account, I built the D3 in order to use cloaking to get the research benefits.
Don’t bother with them
It's frustrating to listen to him explain things everyone knows, like "Hey, this might be counter intuitive but some mining spots mine faster" Yeah dude, everyone knows that. "There's all these variables" honestly, no there's not... there's like...3 variables, your ship, your research, the node. I don't get this whole Sandbox or Dungeon Crawl thing either... it's not a dungeon, you don't do anything along the way, you can only enter with 1 thing in mind and you fly to a single place you already decided to go to. There's no 'exploration' or anything past like the very first day.
Warrior needs food badly Don't shoot food
its sad how much they combat people's bad experiences
Does anyone know if you can buy energy whip but not from the stfc store
"feedback we are getting" yes the feedback from people who spend a lot of $$$ or are chummy with you. The games a mess. What about low lvl players not getting anything and the power lvls are so unbalanced. I noticed as well they have been grouping lvl together for the rank events how is that fair fro example lvl 25 going against lvl30 He mentioned "I'm a gamer" nothing about Star Trek fan which is what it is suppose to be about and it really does show. Borg Probes & swarms should auto attack people that would make more sense. A lot of the events are dull and again not friendly to lower lvl players also you people seem to think people have no lifes outside the game its almost like a full time job to do things daily on this game.
You bet your ass you better get them! Here’s the thing, if you get them and scrap them it allows you to get the Prime *3 Gas/Crystal/Ore refines which in turn allows you to refine more. Also if you max out the Mayflower and scrap it you get common and uncommon *4 explorer parts for the jellyfish. At lvl 40, I can’t get them from the refinery and I’m not moving up to lvl 41 until my jelly can handle the move
its just bad game design to not allow lower levels do enter the mirror vs. this could have easily been a new feature for everyone
I built a mayflower and it was worse than my kumari until way after 28. It just had no hull health.
I thought a bad thing about the separatist D3 was that it doesn't have the cloak ability.
And it can't be scrapped
I've built and scrapped 2 D3's and a Mayflower so far. Another D3 is a possibility to get mats for my T7 Kelvin.
There was a lot of talk about time and quality of life. As this is a mobile game, I’m very concerned about the type of time being used by both this and waves. They are asking for super focused uninterrupted time of 40 or so minutes a day in 20 minute increments. If you’re not paying attention, you mess up the wave for your alliance or you get blown up with no pc in mirror space. This doesn’t connect with the casual way people interact with this game while on the bus or waiting for their kids karate class to end. Combine this with territory and this is just way too much of a time investment for most people. They are burning us out. Plus I need to click 20 minutes to collect the stuff I’ve already said I wanted on a daily basis. Here is your actionable item: Put in a toggle switch for collecting items. If I spend more than 30 minutes a day in your game auto redeem all the things I’ve toggled to yes.
Still building and acrapping these at level 50, got a d3 in the scrapper at the moment to tier my kelvin to 9. Can only see this stopping when i hit 53 and get a Northcutt.
I have my mayflower and that thing has carried me all the way to ops 31 now. A little fragile but i just like it to much🤣 Planing on scraping it at 34, gonna cry a little inside when it happens.
I have built and scraped so many I lost track. But if you have your efficiency research up there, it will reduce the mat cost so much it's becomes spending 10k credits for 4 star mats. I am to the point where I have reduced the mats cost so much some of the components that take uc and rares are free.
If the warp range at maximum was just 3 higher (53 instead of 50), with all the bonies from buildings to hull and damage and officer stats etc. the Legionary would be good enough these days to serve as Tigercore grinder and get those factions to triple luck 10M with the player being able to sit out on Ops 27 forever and benefit from the good daily event bracket.
