rep fitness quick draw adjustable dumbbells
In this video, I review the new quick draw adjustable dumbbells from rep fitness. I compare these quick draw dumbbells to my tried and true Bowflex 552 dumbbells and discuss the features of the new set. How do these dumbbells stack up to my staple Dumbbells and the rest of the field? Tune in to find out if these adjustable dumbbells are worth your money.

Best review on the Rep dumbbells that I've found. I just bought a pair. Can't wait for them to arrive

Rep continues to get most things right. These look to be one of the better options available and a clear upgrade over the bowflex. Thanks for the comprehensive review Marcus!

Great review as always. I have Iron Masters only because when I got adjustable dbs, I needed weight above 60lbs as I always have some fixed dbs. But Rep continues to come out with cool stuff.

Thanks man and agreed…they keep being innovative and it benefits us all through competition
Great review Marcus! I think these could serve a great role in the home gym either as a quick change option for those that maybe need 60lb tops or as a quick change lighter option for bodybuilding accessories to complement heavier spinlock pro styles (Pepin, Ironmaster etc.). Rep is doing great things!

Great points Phil! Thanks for watching.
I was surprised the weight markings are black on black. I spent the time with a paint pen to color the numbers white. It is worth the effort and what Rep should have done from the factory

Agreed it’s an oversight but thankfully it’s an easy fix/mod.
Great review mate. Looks like another home run from Rep. Very valid point on questionable honest reviews on free equipment as well.

I bought the NordicTrack adjustable dumbbells after seeing Coops review, at the time I paid $350.00 and I absolutely love them. That being said I would have paid the extra $150.00 for those had they been on the market. Thanks for the review 🏋♂️

Another great review. And no shade to any other equipment “reviewers” but I also feel some of their gifted product reviews were nothing short of biased and skewed. Subsequently I have unsubscribed from said reviewer that shall remain nameless a long time ago.

I love that they have a 2.5 lb increment option. That very important to me as someone who is slowly building up weight overtime. Plus I just heard they are compatible with jayflex!! Probably going to weight a little bit for them to offer a heavier pair so I wont have to worry about buying other weights overtime

I love the Pepin Fast Series 240, but they are just so expensive I can’t justify them. I do well with my Iron Masters that currently go up to 135 pounds each due to heavy handle kit and 120 lb add on kit.

I considered it but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. They are nice!
Do you find it easy to put them back in when they are under the max weight? I wonder if I had maxed out on a set and am trying to put them back in if I would fumble with having to carefully center and line them up. I've never used anything like this before so this might be a silly question.
@twistedbarbell3950

Not a silly question at all. I used to struggle with that exact issue with my Bowflex 552s, but not with these Rep DBs. Placing back in the cradle is much easier. Also, if not using the whole weight, the guiding wedges on each end make sliding into unused weights ridiculously easy.
Know of a coupon code???

Unfortunately not. Rep doesn’t typically have those except if you have earned Bucks rewards.
Thorough review as always! Does it include the 2.5lbs. add-on plates? The only downside I see are the potential rails that get in the way, the length of the dumbbell being too long for a 60 pounder (future expandability? Does it increase the length even more?) and maybe the price. Hex dumbbells are now around $1/lbs and getting every 10lbs up to 60lbs will cost much less, but of course it'll take up way much more space.
@twistedbarbell3950

Thanks man - appreciate ya. Yes it includes the 2.5lb plates. They don’t plan to expand this current set but supposedly plan on offering a heavier set down the line. Not sure how that would work. Doing the math even at $1/lbs with 5 lb increments still equals $385 for singles and $770 for a pair but my math could be off.🤣 As you said, they would certainly take up a lot more space.

@@twistedbarbell3950 My biggest deterrent in ordering these is the heavier set down the line. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Let's be real, big boys like us need heavier than 60s!! These are $613 CAD for me. Unless my math is wrong, with $1/lb, every pair of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 comes out to be $210 (so pairs = $420 CAD btw. The drawback is space and also I would need microplates or something for the in-between 5 lbs increments.
@BrandonSchwartz1

@@twistedbarbell3950nah his math is way off lol. You’re pretty close to what it would be unless he’s buying used. These are a couple hundred bucks cheaper and possible to skip a stand which is another $100-200 for fixed

I wouldn’t say dishonest but not exactly transparent. You’re right though-viewers are savvy enough to know
I know they will not warranty this, but have you tried taking the plates and making one of the dumbbells 80lbs just to see what it’s like? If not, do you think it’s feasible?
@twistedbarbell3950

I have not but I think it wouldn’t be a problem. I could see temporarily doing that for something like heavy goblet squats.
theyre too long for only 60lbs tbh
