I have this glue pot and I really love it for all the reasons you stated. You can store your brush in there and don’t have to worry about it getting dried out. You wipe off the excess on that little bar thingy- no mess! And I have had the same glue in mine for over a year and it hasn’t dried out in the least. Also when your using it the lid goes on top securely and out of the way and when your done it fits snuggly back on the opening. I have knocked mine over twice ( which is not easy to do) and the lid stayed on just fine.

Keep in mind that there are 3 sizes of this glue pot and we are only carrying the medium size for right now. (0.9 L) The top part is not a hole, it is a spot to put the lid while you are using the bottom part. That way your cat doesn't come an knock your lid away!

I have these beautiful gluepots in my construction technology class. At the end of the school year I want to clean the pots because there is a lot of dried glue in them. My question: how do I get the dried glue residue out of the pot? is there a solvent? Hot water alone won't work.

If you are working with Renia's water-based glue then usually it just pulls right out after drying up or hot water should do the trick but I see that didn't work. If it's a solvent base adhesive then we recommend using the thinner that comes with it and if thinner didn't come with it, look for the same brand thinner. Acetone would do the trick but with the risk of damaging your gluepots. If that is a worry, I would not attempt to use it. I hope this helps. If you have any more questions please reach out. Thank you :)

how do you clean this thing? i put titebond 3 in mine and for some reason it got moldy. I washed a lot of it off but still some inside the reservoir. impossible to get to. I thought the bottom came off but it doesn’t look like it.

I don't see that the bottom comes off. The only other suggestion would be putting spirits in there and trying clean it. Not even sure.....we may have to do some testing.

FORTY BUCKS YIKES!!!! What do you use for a cap over that big open hole where you fill it? Liz, LOVE the new hair doo. I'm a knife maker and I'd like to see some of Liz's sheathes. God bless: Stoney

Stoney, that top part is not a hole...just a spot to store the lid while in use. You turn the pot on its side to fill'er up.

While I appreciate the design and function of these glue pots, I can’t stand the colors. They look like something you’d find in an elementary school art class :/
