Thanks for the laps and company, always a pleasure to see you mate! I know you were struggling to get into the track day - I think it was a combination of factors on top of being absolutely knackered! The weather really did not help and it was a fair old trek just to get there. It was definitely less of a "festival" vibe this year but I think that will improve if Anglesey does become the new home for CSF. The track day side of things is MUCH better though as Anglesey is a lovely circuit. I really enjoyed the passenger laps, thank you again mate. See you back in Wales soon, whether for a track day or to enjoy some roads...

I previously owned a 172 CUP, brilliant car and so much fun to drive. Had a bloody nightmare with the MOT on a couple of occasions where they wouldn't pass it unless a valve was connected for the rear brakes, that on a CUP wasn't meant to be contacted

The Cups are a nightmare for the compensator valve! Lethal when connected too.. I just keep the vosa exemption form in the glove box just in case it gets flagged

That twingo at the start. What a beast. Wiper breaking on the car, classic. My clio cup decided to lose its speedo and coil pack capabilities on the way to the ring once.

It’s a French thing for sure 😅 Mine actually behaved its self when we took it too the ring many years back

I went a few years ago when it was at Blyton (albeit only for a bit and not on track, was feeling deathly ill), definitely had more of a festival vibe with trade stands etc., but even then it was definitely a track day first. A bit of a shame, I love my 182, but I'm not a circuit driver and it's my only car so tracking it isn't really an option for me. I'd make the effort to come if I felt I'd actually have stuff to do.

Love the old Clio videos and that’s not because I own a 182 I have also got an old cbr fsport bike and have had a m3. I will say old ad08 tyres on a wet track is a difficult way to feel connected in fact my last track day I had cords randomly come out the side wall of my ad08s they are getting old now.

@@stoneautomotive yeah definitely thank u for the reply I have worked on high end motors for years and your content on the Clio has taught me many things and it would be sad to see it go hope you stick with it and I do love the new bike content as well as the BMW M3’s

The car sounds ace. I was meant to be there in my RB but had a PAS failure just beforehand so gave my hotel and trackday to another member. Won’t make it this year either. It’ll be a shame if you sell it as I’ve enjoyed the Clio content.

It certainly makes a right little racket for the engine size 😅 Agree, i know deep down i would regret it but feel it’s just taking up space I don’t have currently.. pleasures of living so close to London

Sounds like you lost a bit of love for the Clio on this trip! The bad weather and getting no sleep probably didn't help. Hopefully in the summer with the better weather you'll get the Cup back out to play :)

Yea I did sadly.. I just don’t find myself driving it much at all these days, have been toying with selling it lately but really mixed feelings

Use it as you intended to, as a track car. Get a few booked up and enjoy it. Maybe consider a trailer if you are going far. Not many good trailer maintenance videos on the tube, could be a new venture for you.

That’s the problem, I don’t have any cars that can tow a trailer 😭 By the time I’ve bought a tow car, trailer (and stored the the trailer) I would just take one of the M3’s

Bet that madri went down a treat and im guessing the following night you slept like a log 😃weather does change alot of things though just bad luck imagine getting married when its raining all day and getting the m3 wet 😄🤣

⁠ i hate it when they stick them in a plastic cup you go and pick it up and squeeze half your drink out of it 🙈🤣 i know mate we couldnt believe it was nonestop all day 🙈🤣
