Wanted to see this. The Bambi film I think played a large role in me becoming a vegan and loving animals and caring about their lives and the environment.

Tyrus Wong, was a great man, so intelligent, multifaceted, and someone who survived discrimination, however he contributed a lot to the USA, and overcame all that, and raised to the top magnificently with his paintings, kites, dinner plates that he painted so beautifully, and were so classy. Contrary to all the horrible and divisive stuff we have heard lately about immigrants from Mr. Trump. I am one myself from Cuba, my grandparents went from A Coruña in the 1980-90, did very well, my parents were born, then I came to the picture, in 1962 I came to America, my parents finally after 6 years joined me, leaving all behind. I am glad to be here, anyhow, this is prove of how those people being bad mouthed lately, have contributed to what this country is. Some fail to realize that the only real Americans are the American Indians, all others came from other places, including the president and his wife and parents. * Tyrus Wong WLIW TV American Masters * I enjoyed that documentary very much, I hope it's repeated again. I was crazy about flying kites during my youth, just like Mr Wong was, and even as of late, I fly them when I go to the Beach. That and courier pigeons of which I had a many then, where my main interests, and of course the Beach.

Photo of Tyrus and Ruth strolling past the Million Dollar Theater (still in existence) on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles - touching, and it's 1935 because the theater marquee shows "The Lives of a Bengal Lancer (1935)" playing
