The Art of Disney Exhibition Japanese Catalogue 2006
This book 'The Art of Disney is a catalogue of the largest exhibition of Disney art from 1928-1960 that was exhibited in The Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo in 2006. It is a collection of 250 pieces of lost Disney Art that was discovered by The Chiba University after 46 years. The exhibition showed this lost collection together with 350 additional items from The Animation Research Library. The print quality of this book is astounding and one of my favourite books about Disney art.

Omg I must get this book,it's amazing.
This is great. As I live in central Tokyo, and my daughter has music lessons twice a week in the middle of the ‘used book area” of Tokyo, Jimbocho, I will have to go and look for this book. I have a book about Disney art I bought in 1988 in the USA, it is huge, but that book is in Australia at my parents house.

Hello, I just want to leave a message to say sincere thanks for your reviews on the Disney books - all so informative, appreciate them all! After seeing "Awaking Beauty" I was on a mission to get this book, I actually found it on the official Walt Disney Family Museum but for some reason they ask international buyers to e-mail their card details which I thought was really odd and unsafe. Then I found this other review and this catalogue book is marvellous and contains the exact art pieces I was looking for by Evynd Earle..just a life saver. Thank you so much!

I know Disney likes to put background layout storyboards and design on equal footing in these books, but the only thing that is exceptional and merits study is the animation.

After watching this video, I'm going to get this Tokyo Museum Disney exhibition art book from Japan Auction, but I already have "The Walt Disney Film Archives. the Animated Movies 1921-1968," "Walt Disney Animation Studios the Archive Series," "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" art book, "Pinocchio: The Making of the Disney Epic","Awaking Beauty: The Art of Eyvind Earle". I want to know how many of these books I have overlap with the contents(artworks) of the book.

There is a section in the book that is from the Japanese Disney collection. These artworks can not be found in other books. The print of this book is excellent.
