Remember Yan vs. Sterling

Спорт

Even before Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling fought for the first time in 2021, there was a rivalry brewing between the two. But after an illegal knee during their first meeting at UFC 259, the rivalry only intensified. A year later at UFC 273, Sterling defeated Yan for the UFC Bantamweight title. This time without any fouls that could alter the outcome. #aljamainsterling #petryan #ufc #shorts #tjdillashaw

Yan tried to fight mad gave up his back to a grappler too many times. He needs to fight composed like the 1st fight minus the illegal knee. Also Aljo gassed himself the 1st fight because he thought he could take advantage of yans slow starts, complete back fire. 2nd fight was a snoozer but Sterling dominated him in the grappling. Yan will be back sooner or later, a little less emotional and maybe we could have a good fight on our hands. Unless O'Malley or Chito can beat Yan. Merab is there as well but that's Aljos buddy.

Yea I’m still surprised he came in overly emotional like that, it was clear he was fighting with anger on his side. Even after the the 2nd round I was shocked yan let it happen again in the 3rd. Though 3,4,5 would go like 4,5 did. Also not sure why Yan didn’t start more active in the first round since it wasn’t his first time fighting Aljo, had he been just a bit more active he would’ve won the fight since it ultimately came down to how the first round was scored. Still think it should’ve been a draw.

Frankly I don't give af if he was exaggerating. An illegal shot like that should be an automatic DQ. You don't fully recover from something like that in 5 minutes, but the UFC is happy to pressure a fighter into continuing because it's better for the entertainment. So if Aljo shows them that he's recovered at all, they would force him to fight or give HIM the loss. So his options would be fight-compromised, take the loss, or play up the damage a bit. The UFC put him in an impossible situation, but at the end of the day, the guy who deserved to lose did in fact lose.

The worst part of this ordeal is that we all did not see a real fight . Sterling looked for any way not to engage and take sterling down to avoid striking ! So to all that say yan is the paper champ , I say he’s the inclusive champ lol 😂. Dude is the worst wanna be or I should say in moment actor ever haha 😂. His legacy is him looking like he needs to take a dump while the ref named him champ , then acts like no I don’t wanna it not like this . Hours later his all smiles and flashing the belt ! Haha 😂 dude you got exposed ! Anthony lion heart also got hit similarly to aljo against jones and he took it like a man and kept fighting . I guess laying on your back like you are sunbathing makes you champion good for you bud !
