@@DontEatYourMicrowave yeah I used to glitch it out with pocketinveditor, and in endless or flat worlds (newer versions) you could still get this block using that app or something similar on the iOS version. I don’t think you could break the block when you placed it though and when you did place it you could see like an x ray vision of the entire world

I remember playing the super old version of MCPE which was essentially just Alpha, and had a 256 x 256 world...and I was unlucky enough to not have a single block of water in the entire world. An entire corner of world was overrun by sheep, and the grass had started to turn to patches of dirt because they were grazing too fast for it to grow back. Add that to the thick white fog, and the entire experience was really unnerving.

In that case you must have been playing between v0.2.0 (when sheep were added) and v0.9.0 (after infinite worlds were added) somewhere between then. If you can remembre what the title screen looked like you can narrow it down even further because the title screen changed a lot during pocket edition alpha.

I distinctly remember that, if you went down far enough, you could find redstone ore. It didn't drop anything, and idk if I even knew it was called redstone, but it emitted light when you mined it, and that was enough for young me to be absolutely fascinated

THIS. THIS THIS THIS. THIS WAS MY FIRST VERSION OF MINECRAFT. I ended up getting the full version for my birthday almost 10 years ago. I still remember my first survival world! I had a 1x1 tunnel in my house that led down to bedrock, and I would just strip mine to the world’s edge. I turned my mine into an underground hotel, even though it was a single player world. I remember the “nyan cat” seed for this version too! It had this insane mountain with a massive lava fall. It was my favorite seed to generate. I also remember when they added the nether reactor! Made it without knowing what it would do and boy was 10 year old me surprised. I’m so glad that there’s still archives of this version. Even if it isn’t as good as PE is now, I will always remember my time with this version.

Broo, I remember making massive hotels out of the brick block in the lite game just to have it get deleted when i closed it lol. I distinctly remember putting paintings in all of the rooms lol. One time when I had the full game me and a friend played PE until like 1 am making nether reactors and shit. I think we were also using dupe glitches haha.

What the hell happened here?

I see Nether Reactor. I click video in hopes of finally re-experiencing the childhood joy I got from Minecraft PE back when there were world borders. I enjoy an awesome video made by Squiddo. Win-win-win!

I literally just found the PE demo in the depths of mine, and I was shocked it still existed. I'm so glad someone else found this too!!! Its such a special relic of the early struggles in Minecraft and its a great show of just how far the game has come!

I remember PE Lite in a very specific way. Every time I would load in, I’d load in and immediately use purple wool to tower up to avoid zombies, and end up making a bridge of purple wool that was suspended completely in the air, with torches along it. I don’t think I ever considered that I could just.. make a house.

I remember sharing an iPad with my siblings and we had Minecraft the first time it came out. So many good memories 😌

Ah, the memories, my first ever version was 0.6.1. I made an obstacle course but since I had no way to test it I was desperate for anything, and then I found BlockLauncher. You may wanna use that to turn worlds from creative to survival (and inventory editing), it's what worked back then

I think I actually have that in the backup I took of my old phone. (Blocklauncher and the 0.6.1 PE version, I'd have to unzip quite a few folders to look at the APKs though)

You have to be on survival to activate the nether reactor so you need to craft it from diamonds and iron, and then build the nether reactor structure from cobblestone and gold

I just watched the video and realized how long I've been playing Minecraft. I thought I've been playing Minecraft for around seven years but now I realized that I've been playing for a lot longer. Okay I’m going to rant about my experience with MC pocket edition lite. I can remember watching a spider climb up the invisible border. I can remember building towers of sugar cane and cacti all the way to the build limit and breaking the bottom. I can remember playing with my siblings in the worlds. I can remember the limited inventories. I can remember how annoying it was to switch from creative to survival, because every time you did your inventory would get cleared. I’d have to put all my stuff in a chest before switching. I can remember how sleeping was the way you regained health because I suppose food didn’t exist yet. Most of all I can remember the nether reactor core. I’d summon those over and over and watch the pigmen run in circles as I picked up the random items that dropped, like beds and cacti and sand and potatoes. I can remember the huge netherrack mess it would make in a really random but organized pattern. I would do the nether over and over again and there were so many netherrack structures in my world. I can remember my siblings mining the nether reactor core before it was too late so we could reuse it and not have to craft another one. In a later version of the game, I can remember being able to mine emerald blocks with a wooden pickaxe. I think I’ll stop here or else I’ll go on forever.

There is also a speedrun community, I made a video about some of the categories a while back and it's really nice to see these old versions

when i was like 7 i used to play this version on my tablet , its extremely nostalgic the version youre playing is actually a little different from the one i had i think we still got the tablet , idk if it works tho , i used to play so often on it... i remember being super affraid of the edge of the world , and using the reactor core in build bc i thought it looked cool , and i always played in creative , when my dad told me there were monsters in minecraft i was really scared for a few weeks

Oh man I have so many fond memories of playing on Minecraft Pocket Edition Lite, I remember I would build like these hotel structures in the middle of mountains in creative mode. In survival mode I remember having to fight off the hostile mobs with just my pickaxe - that was definitely an experience.

OH MY GOD THIS HITS HARD ON NOSTALGIA, i remember me and my brother would play the full version of PE lite because it used to be mobile only, now we play it quite often with him in creative and me on survival, the old diamond core thing u needed to surround with cobble, 4 gold blocks i think and the core in the middle, that was how you got nether rack, but at the same time it was also great for towers because it gave you a tower of nether rack

I used to own the full MC PE Lite edition, with no "not available with demo mode" in the inventory. Unfortunately, you are unable to install it due to it not meeting the new iOS App Store requirements.

It's sad I remember breaking my nether core reactor in Minecraft :(

My first ever version of Minecraft, the memories are coming back. Good old days where you needed a 2 block deep water pools to negate fall damage and none of the blocks had gravity 3:53 nope, in the full version the world cuts off as well. Back then pocket edition had limited world sizes since devices were nowhere near able to handle infinite worlds

If I remember, the reactor only worked in survival, so you needed to do it all from scratch. The core was crafted with 6 iron and 3 diamonds

As a person who played Pocket Edition when the nether reactor did something (IDK what version) that is the same exact thing that happens when you click on the core. Quick funy tip: try it in survival, maybe it'll work, maybe not idk

This was my first survival world, there were no caves and the world was tiny so I collected all the diamonds and rationed them out for years; I still remember riding my little minecart-turned-rollercoaster around the whole world, a shame it’s been lost to the aether

O… M… G… This brought back so many memories! The tiny world, the beautiful sounds, the few blocks, the og textures… Those were the days… so good.

I’m surprised you were able to play this and I know Mojang can be better than this lol all I can say it makes memories.

The first video of you I ever watched, all the way back in February 2022.

God this brings back so many memories. For one, there was actually a glitch where you could get the gold back so that you could spawn another "Nether Spire". Basically, once it activated, it would turn the cobblestone and gold into a "red obsidian" texture and you couldn't mine it. However! If you were fast and ran around the structure, you could actually mine the gold blocks before they turned into the unbreakable blocks. My personal best was 2 gold blocks, and I made so many spires to get ~*Cactus*~

PE looks exactly like the alpha version for some reason or is that just me?

I have extremely vivid memories of the nether reactor cores. My family had a world together, and it had a ton of those towers that spawn when you activate the reactors. We even plotted to yoink the gold blocks after we activated it but before they disappeared

I was abit late to Minecraft pocket edition but I remember clearly I got to play it when there's a decent amount of content in it, it was when the nether reactor is still in and with the old stone cutter, and with the limited boarders. I remember when neutral and hostile mobs still try to attack you in creative mode.

The nether reactor core should have been kept as a decoration block it looked rad as hell, did not need to be removed

Nostalgia, I played then, once I was playing in survival, and I found a BIG ASS WALL, it was basically a zombie spawner, it was completely dark, I miss it, and the core block to spawn the nether, was on the paid version

pocket edition lite was my favourite thing to play when bored in public, especially with my siblings. we'd build wool houses on the tops of trees in survival since we had infinite wool and planks

I remember playing this when I was very young on my iPad 1 and sharing it with my little brother, I was very confused why I couldn’t craft or go to the nether, until a few years later where it updated to a more recent version of mcpe.

I remember playing on version 0.6.1 years ago. I made a lot of Nether Reactors. I found out a way to convert from creative to survival and I used it to be rich on survival but I couldn't open chest on creative mode so... I drop the items on the ground and convert the world then... Millions of Nether Reactors

OMG this is the version of minecraft that I grew up with. I remember one world specifically where I built an all brick house with a chimney in the corner that went across all floors which I used to get around. I also remember my little brother joining my world and getting scared because I thought it was some kind of hacker or bugged npc (I was around 4 and didn't know what herobrine was yet)

i remember getting my friends to download this back in middle school in an attempt to convince them to convince their parents to buy the full game so they could become a minecrafter too😂

This brings back memories from when I used to play this version

this gave me so much nostolgia and I remember playing even before this version when they had the grainy neon color wool and that lava looking very hue shifted/over saturated gold block fun times. fun times also remember building my worlds to the brim of my world lol. good times. good times. also the times of when I was piss broke.

i remember my dad got my brother and i this version on his iPads. the best memory i have of it is when our grandpa joined on his phone and we trapped him underwater when he went to get some water. i miss him so much…

This is actually my first version of minecraft. Or even the first application I downloaded in my Ipad. sadly after 9-10 years of loyalty from my ipad. It was gone because it's broken and not responding anymore. *I'm feeling an emotional damage* I used to build alot of stuff in that game. And back then when I found a lava flowing I would jump in joy as it was very rare for me back then.

I have SO much nostalgia for the old MCPE sound effects!

This reminds me of the times during elementary school I would stay behind for After School and they would give us iPads to play on, we had like 5-10 people in a world if I recall and it was nice to just play together on those things

Back in my days, you could get MCPE Lite from the app store, Minecraft Pocket Edition still had the nether reactor core, we didn't have redstone, we had to use alternative redstone (cactus, signs, water and torches), stonecutters were in the game and had a function and powered rails were always powered. Those were the good old days, i miss those days a lot.
