    An amazing model airplane. I've never seen one so good. I'm starting in aeromodelling and wanted to try to make one of this model. Would it be possible for you to send me the plan or measurements? Thanks

    Dear friend, first I would like to congratulate him for his model airplane and its video. It is the model airplane with slower, gentle and graceful flight I've ever seen. The shooting of his flawless flight ally choosing the perfect soundtrack produces a state of relaxation to those who attend! Then imagine how delightful it would be to fly model aircraft with this wonder. I have watched your video dozens of times and never tire of watching it myself! It is very beautiful to see how you float and plays with the wind. My friend, thank you for responding so quickly to my email. This demonstrates that you are a very nice person, because you are very friendly and generous! 'll Enjoy your other videos. God bless you and your family! Strong Hug My Friend.

    Is bending of wings intentional? Would it work as nicely if they were static?

  • @sr71afan

    @sr71afan

    7 жыл бұрын

    No, the bending is a result of using flexible material, and I assume a rigid structure would work just as well although it might be heavier. Also, the dihedral (angled up at the tips) is necessary when using rudder to turn with no ailerons.

    Wonderful bird! A few questions if I may: - The jedelski wing, do you have to score/V grooved the foam to fold? - The cross braces are 3/32in carbon fiber rods? or nylon strings? - The intersection of the X braces are attached to the wing with strings? How is it attached? I don't see attach points on the top of wing. Thanks so much for a mesmerizing creation. I have yet to see anything that is so inspiring.

  • @sr71afan

    @sr71afan

    7 жыл бұрын

    Yes, the foam was beveled, then glued back together. Wing cross braces are 1mm carbon rods. The flying wire which wraps under the belly is string and is tied to a clear piece of plastic glued to a wing rib on each side.

    +sr71afan Once more: thank you ! Meanwhile I have constructed a very simple light bipe of foam with the same wingload like your plane. But with only about 30" wingspan. ( to carry it in my car ) Powered by a park250 brushless motor. Alternative with 2 or 3 cell lipos. I have not tried it yet, I`ll do tomorrow. With help of experienced RC-Pilots of a nearby Club. I wonder how it will fly ! ( English is not my mothers language )
