Most of us turn for pleasure and occasionally need to "push the limits" of our ability. Highly figured, extra holes and knots, and sometimes spalted wood are not beginner's projects because of the higher risk of "off the lathe" experiences. Your burl bowl is certainly beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Individuality is visible in her! Making good stuff is a craft, making junk stuff is an art!!!! I make products in this style myself!
