In this video I reinforce my Traxxas Maxx body using the Gorilla Tape method

    I love Gorilla Tape and Gorilla Glue when it comes to rc bodies.. I have reinforced several of my body's using Gorilla Tape as well and it definitely helps

    Gorilla tape and hot glue to fill up the hard part that doesn't flex. Use hairdryer at the end to make it stick better. 👍

    Thanks for the tip! I should try some hot glue to help reinforce some of those vulnerable areas

    Yeah it makes a huge difference once you gorilla tape it! It’s much stronger!!

    Used this with my Vxl Slash and Vxl Rustler. Game changer! Crashes aren't as loud either.

    It’s pretty easy to do and it makes a huge difference in the durability of the body

    I use this on my bodies... I also use the gorilla glue first... like a contact cement... then tape... we bash hard... 3x a week... and my bodies have held up great...

    I’ve had good luck with gorilla tape. I have had it come off a few times but most of the time it is solid. Race bodies get drywall tape and a dab or shoe glue for lightness.

    Yeah the gorilla tape has held up really well on my 2wd Slash!! Even with driving it through mud and water and sand…

    @@RCKnockout I’ve used it on snowmachine hoods to plug vents and it’s lasted about 9 years on one sled. The stuff is strong.

    I wanna do this to my custom painted Fiesta body but im afraid it will peel the paint if i have to remove to readjust the tape.

    Definitely takes more time and it’s a lot messier than the gorilla tape option

    I disagree….gorilla tape takes way less time and it’s less messy….does nearly as good of a job too

    That’s my go to Gorilla tape👍🏾 lot easier than the shoo goo just as good maybe better IMO

    There's a better, and MUCH easier, way to reinforce RC bodies - spray/paint-on truckbed liner. It also looks, and home up, a LOT better.

    @@RCKnockout Two layers, less than 10 minutes per later (using 1.5" brush) on the MAXX body, and approx 20 minutes drive time between layers, you'd have our finished in less than 40 minutes. Let it completely dry/set overnight, and it's ready to rock-n-roll.

    @@robbryan3044 it sounds messier than using the tape…the tape also holds up pretty well…I look at rc bodies as disposable…so I don’t put a ton of work into them usually unless it’s gonna be a shelf queen

    @@RCKnockout You might consider taking with people who paint bodies professionally. While their primary job is to make bodies look outstanding, part of their also involves doing the bodies so they last a long time, through many races. You'll find that the majority of them do the truckbed lining (tho, only a single layer did race vehicles. As for "messy", not really...not unless the person is messy.
