I just wanted to mention . My buddy took his x maxx body to rhino liner. And they sprayed it for like $50 .It has held up good so far. He taped it up really well.

Won’t repair a damaged body I’ve tried

Wow, thanks for taking the bullet on this one LOL! I have wondered what other options there might be for body reinforcement. After watching your instructional video here, I plan on not ever using Flex Paste for this purpose!

Earl, I don't know how the heck you did that job so CLEAN! I would have had that stuff all over everything in sight! :) And spent 10 hours trying to clean it off the table, walls and most of my upper body! LOL! Hope it works out.

🤔🤔 $50 - $60 IN REPAIR PRODUCTS.. $30 IN TIME… MAYBE $10 IN FRUSTRATION WORKING WITH THAT PRODUCT… ON A $100 BODY. KIND OF A WASH…. THINK IM STICKING TO THE DRYWALL TAPE AND SPRAY FLEX SEAL.. GREAT INFO BROTHER EARL 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙

I just use gorilla tape and heat . Or nothing till I get new body's

Shoe Goo was super easy for me to apply to my LMT body.... After initially tacking down the drywall tape in a couple of spots, I would steadily squeeze the Shoe Goo like toothpaste and slide it back to forth while in direct contact with the drywall tape. This method left the inside of the body rather smooth and was virtually mess free ✌️😎

Great video as always Earl...... I did the whole shoogoo and tape stuff to a brand new xmaxx body and only got 6 months of use out of it..... For the price and how hard I bash I prefer the indestructible body's ..... There not as pretty but they definitely take a beating......

Yep mine still go just ugly

The method I tried was Gorrilla Max Strength Grab adhesive, Crystal clear stuff.With the dry wall tape.Its been working a treat.✌️

Earl the best idea I've seen is if you can have rhino lining do a spray lining on it if it's done right it's very good

@@earlmoorhead5555 rhino lining if they spray it too much too fast it melts the body, the lining is hot when it's applied apparently, they have to do 3 or 4 coats instead of 1 or 2 thick ones

EARL….I used the flex shield spray,,,,2 layers…..used the GLAD PRESS SEAL. to cover the outside of the body to protect over spray..(which was very minimal)…the press seal is great cause it sticks to the body…I’m pleased with the results….🇺🇸👈🚘 press seal is like Syrian wrap….but has a light sticking action…

The spray cans are thin when first sprayed so to repair a body it didn’t work well I’ve tried that on the KZread infraction body 🤔

Dip your gloved finger in washing liquid and massage paste into smooth texture… also I’ve tried that paint on stuff flex seal.. try it on an old shell first as I found it made mine brittle. It now explodes into pieces😂😂

Shoe goo is way easier it also self levels so it is a lot smoother but it is still heavy. I’d like to see the liquid flex how that works

As much as I hate shoogoo, it seems like that is still the winner

If you can get it over there I used the gorilla glue, tubes go in calking gun. clear instant grab adhesive. Stays flexible too. That looks a heavy layer using that. See how it works I guess.

I had never thought about trying flex paste. I've always used mesh & shoe goo. I'm interested to see how it turns out.

I hate to say it but Imo shoegoo works the best. Yea it stinks but the adhesion is the best I've found.

Also with the fiber tape use a heat gun with minimal heat. Helps with the stickiness and you can get that tape to conform nicely

Yes no one is carrying shoegoo around me anymore CVS stopped having it shipped in idk why only online to buy it now 🤷🏻‍♂️

Unless that body is bomb proof it's totally not worth the struggle. Maybe try the flex seal in a spray can ? Thanks for going through all that to show us this is not the way

Could try truck bed liner next time.

I bought some and tested it on an old body. It eats the airbrush paint I use and will ruin the paint job unfortunately. I wanted it to work but I guess the solvents in it dont play well with airbrush paint.

Dam earl , I'll have think about this one. " I'm un subbing alot rc channels , I really look at you as fellow mechanic though. Can you atleast let that brand rest for minute lol where's 100mph challenge, try powerhobby belted buggy tires , the rims suck though I cracked all of them and tires still new . Going try to de glue them . Yep I have couple jars that flexseal , hope it's not dry. Good idea never thought use the puddy. .

Always go with gorilla glue products.

That was not fun to watch! Paste NO good. I tried the spray and seemed to work best when I held the can 2 plus feet away. Just letting the spay fall on to the body. It was in a jelly form instead of a liquid. Worked really good. No major running at all. Clear spray I used.

I used 2 cans of the spray...was not happy with..looked good but body still broke and is peeling off

Paste sucks but brush on worked good both bodies already destroyed

flex seal is garbage, the paste is too hard to work with, it's too heavy and the company's overall quality control sucks. Drywall tape and spray on bed liner, no mess no fuss it sticks on vertical surfaces, sprays on evenly and you can layer on as many coats as you want without getting it all over yourself..........
