Facts

My biggest grip with the Brock Roman saga is how much everyone else was sacrificed just for them. Big E, Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Aj Styles etc It's infuriating. I saw this problem coming a mile away but everyone else was too busy having a raging boner over the tribal chief. Now that he's part time and taken the belts hostage, it's going to bite them in the ass. And no, building up new stars doesn't mean strapping a rocket to Theory or Bron Breaker out of the blue and expecting them to magically become megastars. Stuff like this takes time.

Exactly. I cancelled my WWE subscription once they strapped the rocket to Jinder Mahal. He goes from a lacky in a jobber group (not even the leader) of 3MB, gets a pay-per-view win over Orton and becomes a believable WWE Champion? Nope. The title lost a whole lot of credibility after that.

the most entertaining time of this rivalry was when there was a STORYLINE behind it like paul heyman chooseing a side. If they have a crazy storyline and do a bunch of stipulation matches, then people would enjoy it. Cena and Orton had a million matches. Thats why they are huge stars. Reigns vs Lesnar will be remembered as an amazing rivalry in wwe history

You summed it up perfectly. Agreed 100% It's a feud that's destined to go on forever. I hope this ends up being the final match & it never happens again, although considering whether or not another wrestler goes down with an injury or The Rock can't make it to next years Wrestlemania, this same match could end up main eventing Wrestlemania 39. That's the ultimate nightmare scenario right there. As you pointed out, even with this feud being exhausted beyond belief, it's still the main draw, much more than some of the other match ups Roman would have had with other wrestlers. Sure, you could build someone up to be at that level or close to it, but it's not always a guarantee that it will draw the same way Brock & Roman does, or even Rock vs Austin during that rivalry.

@@Pro9pix Think about it though, this roman reigns era, isn't really an era. look at the last 2 decades of mania and the champions. 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 29 John Cena, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38 Brock Lesnar. Why not shift to that. Think of the money that match would have arguably the faces of wrestlemania from the past 2 decades, meet at mania and just slug it out. Then have roman at likely around 1,000 days as champion put that huge star on someone and drop the title then go on a vacation while the new person soars.

I think it's an issue within itself that this is the only big match they can put on right now. There's gonna come a time where Brock and Roman are retired, and that seems like it's sooner rather than later. Yes I know all their other big stars are injured right now, but what happened to the really strong booking of Drew McIntyre? What's wrong with making a lot of people seem like they're viable to be "The Guy". WWE's ideology of having only one or two wrestlers be important is gonna bite them in the buttocks, we've already seen that when Cena left for Hollywood, and now that Roman is pretty much part-time. Something needs to change or WWE's future is looking uglier than it already is.

Reigns and Lesnar is an underrated feud. 2 heels turning into baby faces, to switching back. A lot of rivalries start with guys who already made it, this didn’t, we watched Reigns evolve against Lesnar and Lesnar slowly turn into a baby face. Last man standing will be the pinnacle.

Paul Heyman’s part in making Brock and Roman work for years can’t be understated.

I swear this rivalry. While it was amazing at first, the fact that it’s still going on and dragging on, no wonder people are so tired of it. Like give us new stars, new rivalries, new stuff. Like what’s gonna happen when Roman and Brock fully retire and you got no more stars? So yeah, they should start building up new stars now before it’s fully too late.

I personally think and as much as I like both after this match they gotta move on the more you have this match the more other talent don’t get that rub, and like you mentioned Gunther in the video it would have been a perfect time to have Brock put him over and continue the undefeated streak and by doing that you have an interesting story of who beats Gunther kinda like Roman and you make the IC title feel relevant with a top guy like Brock going for it . Again I enjoy both guys and I will obviously watch because of that but after this they gotta use Brock and Roman in a good way while you still have them. Good video as always

The Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns Rivalry should have been done and over with at either SummerSlam 2018 or WrestleMania 38, there's no reason for it to happen yet another PPV personally it should have ended at WrestleMania 31 as a one off match.

Should be Drew or Cody to dethrone Roman. Personally what I would do is have Drew win at Clash of the Castle, retain at the next PPV and then start a feud with someone else, but have theory cash in before the rumble. Theory and Drew have a match at the rumble which theory wins because drew gets attacked by someone. Cody returns and wins the Rumble setting up Cody Vs Theory for the title at Mania. then Elimination Chamber have Seth win the title in the chamber, and have Theory vs Rollins at Fastlane. Rollins retains and then its Cody vs Seth for the title at mania, exactly a year on from his return against the man he beat in his return

Who else wanted to see either AJ challenge the tribal chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at SummerSlam this year? For me, it’s a fresh and money match. We haven’t seen them collide in 6 years. This match could top off the 2 matches they had as they progressed greatly on mic, skills, and etc. I hope AJ comes back to the main event scene and I hope we don’t see another match between Lesnar vs Reigns after SummerSlam as we are tired of seeing it happen. Doesn’t excite me at all.

honestly it's just tiring to see them fight over the championship again, but the thing is, WWE does have a point on having them fight over and over, because they do make a lot of money for the company. Plus, the fact that the two of them stared at each other at 2021 SummerSlam is going to end their long-running rivalry at 2022 SummerSlam is just perfect. However if they continue to feud, then they just wasted a perfect ending. But let's see how good the final match is when the time comes.

I can see those two fight forever. Literally my those are my two favorite wrestlers and I don't get tired of watching them fight each other. Now it would be badass to see those two team up against two other wrestlers. Like wwe new story would put this two together against other wrestlers and it would be something new to watch and something so fucking badass to see. That would be a great NEW storyline that wwe can go on for a while. Their match at summerslam 2022 was the best ever in my opinion

WM31 set the template for both. But....their best arc was the Tribal Chief vs The Ultimate Farmer. Never thought it took both Reigns and Lesnar to swap roles to be super entertaining. Felt in 2022, I wanna know what will happened if Roman could make Day 1 and didn't got COVID. You're right. That occasion fooked up the whole story. Plus, Brock's decision to end the WM38 match quickly was right in safety, but fucked up the "coming for blood" Brock teased. Felt that match is longer, but ended abruptly. This pair, I felt, should climax at Hell in a Cell. The story after this? I'd like to use Brock as part of The Bloodline break apart to be fair, since both sides kinda aligned with Sami Zayn rn (using the guy as this short story's pinnacle.) adding someone in this feud would be fun after all. The SummerSlam match for me was in my sights. But for my idea, Brock faces Bobby and Drew faces Roman at WM38. This was after Brock won the WWE title at Day 1 that I thought this.

The way WWE are constantly booking this match is actually kinda funny. We've seen this like a hundred times already, and this will probably continue for a long time to come. The video package for the match at SummerSlam has the narrator says, "This rivalry won't end until one of these men...". This kind of like when they were doing the Veer Is Coming to Raw vignettes for six months. Let's face it, until these men retire they won't stop, even if its in 2080, 2098, 3089, it doesn't matter, heck they might fight even in retirement. Even when the dead, I bet they'll still face off in the afterlife.

Little did he know this would become one of the greatest matches in the last decade 😂

I really wanted Brock vs Gunther at Summerslam, freshen things up instead of Brock returning and always feuding for a world title

I can assure you,before the match begins everyone will walk out the arena. Also the fact that you stating facts I agree upon

Again, roman's both feet didn't touched the floor. Lesnar crawled and both of his feet touched the floor, while roman's one feet was on the apron cloth, hence winner was indeed lesnar. 1) Roman speared lesnar through cage. 2) Roman's first feet touched the floor while other was hanging on the cloth of apron or whatever it is called. 3) Lesnar crawled back to floor, touching both feets and hence, the winner.

A lot of fans may not like Roman vs. Brock all the time but my God it draws money and draws fans to tune in, if they like it or not. That’s what happens when you have a household name.

the dynamic change since their WM31 match plays into their match quality as well, back then reigns was fighting for his life he was clearly the under dog now he's equal to or even slightly above lesnar which completely changes the match structures

The same story I once looked over to this time and told just with a different opinion word🤜🤛

I’m literally DESPERATE to see Sami Zayn wrestling to his fullest ability again, provided that he can still do at least some of the moves he used before turning heel/ones that were phased out around 2018. I’m not sure if his shoulder surgeries have taken too much of a toll on his body to do those moves though sadly. I just miss his version of the Tope Con Hilo (I’d argue his version was the best, even better than Kenny Omega’s!), his unique arm drags, the backflip he’d do when the opponent moved out of the way before he could do the Tope Con Hilo, the sunset flip powerbomb, the Arabian press moonsault to a standing opponent outside the ring, the moonsault off the barricade, the torpedo ddt he used to do, his double jump crossbody, man all of it! Sami Zayn is so incredibly underrated, I’d say he’s the Christian (Cage) of his generation, he’s such an incredibly talented wrestler, such a great worker, but they just don’t push him seriously the way they should, he’s the Christian to Kevin Owens’ Edge, the one thing Sami kind of seemed to struggle with as a babyface was talking on the mic, he’s a much better character as a heel but his move set and the way he wrestles works more for a babyface, he was like one of the ONLY babyfaces I could actually genuinely get behind during 2016-2017, I mean maybe outside of Dolph Ziggler in 2016. Sami deserves to be a main eventer and a world champion, I just wish they would actually PUSH him, and the problem with that is that the top guy in the company is a HEEL, I’d say now is the perfect time to try and build a strong babyface, especially what with Cody being out injured, and them not pushing AJ Styles in that spot. I mean the only other top babyfaces I can really think of are Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Riddle. McIntyre is bound to get his shot at Reigns soon and my guess is he’ll lose, Riddle already lost to Roman, and Bobby Lashley just won the US title so he’s busy with that right now, that doesn’t really leave a whole lot of options.

The biggest issues i have are 1. Almost same storylines always. It felt a bit fresh when Brock returned in Summer Slam. 2. Full timers / potential performers missing out at the shot at the grandest prize in WWE

not gonna hold u…I thought i was gonna hate the summer slam match, but i rly enjoyed the match as the match went on…especially that finish with brock getting buried in rubble for roman to get the win, which had both men coming out lookin strong🥶

First and foremost shout out to Ross lol This match is well overcooked. Nobody asked for this. How do you run out of all your top stars, have establishable mid-Carders and then be like "I wonder what Brock's doing?"?

They could also do Reigns vs AJ Styles, that’s a match we haven’t seen since 2016, the only problems with that are that Styles held the WWE Title for a year and some might argue it’s still too soon to have him hold a world title again but AJ isn’t getting any younger and who knows how much longer he plans to continue wrestling and he deserves another world title reign at some point, the other problem is that Styles doesn’t have much momentum at all following his three straight losses to Edge, I was honestly expecting him to finally beat Edge in the end but then they did that rushed Face Turn (maybe?)/Double Turn with Edge and Finn Bálor so I’m guessing we’re getting Edge vs Finn or some sort of tag match involving those two at SummerSlam which is cool and all but it kinda leaves Styles in limbo with nothing to do at the PPV (I refuse to call them premium live events). You can also build up to Sami Zayn FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY turning Babyface again for the first time since 20 freaking 17! Have him hopefully shave his long hair and go back to wearing the cool tights with the red and white or some other color designs on them that he used to wear pre-2020 and if we’re lucky bring back his Worlds Apart theme although that seems very unlikely because of that song being composed by CFO$ 😰😔
