No body goes to Disneyland for free. The thought of the cost of that churro alone sends a shiver up my spine.

And thus, after using his first teleportation to get the gfuel, and the second to get to Disneyland, Jacob and Vecna realized that they had to stay there ALLLLLLL DAY so they could get home without having to buy a plane ticket.

Why? Since they don't get exhausted or need to eat, they could simply do whatever the hell they wanted, and then teleport back home when they felt like it, the day after..

Not gonna lie, as a construction worker who does a lot of work in the desert, never getting exhausted, diseased and having injuries heal up as well as teleporting without needing to eat would help me out immensely

@@Solrex_the_Sun_King Being unable to be exhausted would also mean that not drinking wouldn’t affect you as per DnD 5e’s rules on Exhaustion. Sure it would probably still suck because your human brain is wired to instinctually craze it. So going without would probably fuck with you psychologically, but I’d assume you’d be fine otherwise

Honestly, the desert sounds like a pretty apt place to find a magical item that prevents you from getting exhausted, diseased, or injured (while also destroying all holy items within 10 ft of you)

Meh, 5% is nothing compared to my 70% of dying after falling ~40 feet irl off a cliff face. Luckily, tree branches are great at slowing your fall, with the downside with cutting, scratching, and bruising from falling through trees. Luckily nothing was broken, just bruised bones and stitches keeping me from doing dumb shit for a good few months though.

Something like this is currently going on in a campaign I'm running. One of the players became bound to a cursed, sentient sword that consumes the souls of its victims and grows more powerful for every kill, becoming a more potent weapon but also gaining more power over its wielder. So far though, they're developing something of a bromance. They get along surprisingly well and while the topic of their conversations tend to go back to "Let's kill some more things", they also just chat about friend things, get to know each other and play travel games while on the road. The rest of the party is a bit mixed on the demonic soul-sucking sword that their companion physically cannot let go of, but the cleric of all people has taken a liking to it. The player bound to it has used its shapeshifting ability to give it a little hand just so the cleric can fist bump it whenever the occasion calls for it. Last session the sword gained enough power to read its wielder's mind, an ability intended to be used to manipulate them into committing more atrocities, but it ended up leading to an impromptu therapy session where the player and the sword talked about his insecurities in a pretty healthy and constructive manner. I didn't mean for any of that to happen, but it keeps veering in that direction and I don't feel the need to stop it. It's fun. I think my favorite exchange in the entire campaign so far, which also summarizes their relationship pretty well, is this: Sword: "We're partners in crime." Player: "Yup." Sword: "We're gonna do crime together." Player: "We're not gonna do crime." Sword: "We're gonna do SOME crime." Player: "...Maybe some crime." Sword: "DEFINITELY some crime." Player: "Hmm... Fine, a little bit of crime." Sword: "Little bit of crime. For starters. Then we'll see where things go. How we're feeling."
