DP, you gotta stop telling people Jokic isn’t fun to watch. He is one of the best examples of blending 90s tough big man and the current floor spacing big. He is showing the art of the game off like it hasn’t been displayed in years! Don’t discourage people from watching it, that doesn’t help you either!

All these ‘Jokic is boring people’ don’t actually love basketball. They love the ‘exciting’/highlight plays but not the actual game, the real nuance of the sport. It’s just showing how many casual ‘fans’ there are, even in the media, and it’s a little disappointing honestly.

@@Joes35 And been licking Lebron's boots even longer than that. I mean, sure at one point Lebron may have had an exciting game to watch...but now, except for little explosive periods of time, his game consists of bombing long threes (and screwing up his team's offensive flow) or trying to bully his way to the basket for a layup or bail out foul. Boy, exciting!! Dan's critical thinking skills when it comes to Lebron are null and void.

I remember MJ in college. When he 1st came to The NBA, he was amazing individually but there team was not there. The Bad Boys"Pistons used to smack MJ around until he got in the weight room, The Bulls got better players(Pippen) better coaching (Phil Jackson) and then he started slapping everyone else around.

MJ started playing team ball when Phil Jackson became head coach of the Bulls in ‘89. MJ bought into what Phil and Tex Winter was selling regarding the triangle offense and trusting his teammates more.

'He's not exciting to watch...' This is why I hate the modern NBA. I don't find a dunk exciting when the dunker can barely dribble, horrible shooter but thanks to being fast, lackluster defense and being tall - he is deemed exciting. A near 7' running the floor, shooting threes, dunking, post-up moves and passes from every angle. I'll be tuning in!

Pippen averaged 21 in 91-92, 22 in 93-94, 21.4 in 94-95 and 20.2 in 96-97. He also averaged 17.8 in 90-91, 18.6 in 92-93, 19.4 in 95-96, 19.1 in 97-98. In his MVP campaign season without MJ he led the Bulls in every major statistical category besides rebounds in 93-94. In 94-95 he led the team in every major stat category. He was 3rd in MVP voting in 93-94 without MJ and he also made the all-star that year and won MVP of the game. Following that year in 94-95 with another all-star appearance. Jordan got a losing record without Pippen. Pippen don’t have a losing record with MJ. Never seen this disrespect for a guy who was the best at his position for a decade. Not to mention revolutionized the point forward while doing it and being the best defender at said position.

@cashflodigitalsportsnetwor6112 Michael Jordan started his NBA career on the bottom playing with bums, drug addicts and scrubs. Scottie Pippen inherited a Three-time defending NBA Championship well-oiled team with a new bench plus Toni Kukoč. You can't compare Jordan's 1984-1987 teammates to what Pippen had in 1993. Pippen's stat line was never MVP worthy. He was just a sidekick teammate and role player. No team in NBA history was going to win a Championship with Scottie Pippen as the No. 1 option. The Bulls had no chance of winning in the 1993-1994 season with Pippen as the No. 1 option. The Bulls were also 8-2 without Pippen in that season. Toni Kukoč hit multiple game winners during the season. Scottie Pippen scored ZERO POINTS in his first playoff game with Jordan. Scottie Pippen had nothing to with Jordan beating Cleveland in 1988. Jordan averaged 45.2 PPG while Pippen was on the bench. Pippen averaged 7.9 PPG in his rookie season and 10.0 in the playoffs. Michael Jordan led the NBA in PER, VORP and Winshares seven consecutive seasons from 1987-1993 which means Jordan was undeniably the best player in the NBA. Scottie Pippen didn't win any regular season MVPs or Finals MVPs or scoring titles or DPOY because he wasn't good enough to win those accolades.

Mike’s first playoff series win, Jordan averaged 45 as Pippen averaged 10. The next year, Jordan averaged 32/8/8 shooting 53%, 15 triple doubles and lost to a 63 win Pistons in Conference Finals (Pippen averaged 9.7 points at 40%) He had to carry the Bulls from the dumpsters At his best, Pippen was not even close to MJ. @@p.f.912 I don’t have anything subjective in my comment other than Pippen being the best SF of the 90’s. Everything else is statistical facts and proving to be true or false. Praising Pippen does not diminish or tarnish Jordan. However, I will give an opinion. Pippen is a Point Forward. The offense ran like shit, before Pippen 2nd, 3rd year. Jordan in his 10 part doc said that took the ball out of my hands. I’ve been watching Jordan and the Bulls as young as I can remember being born in 79’. The late 80’s and 90’s Bulls are my favorite team/dynasty of all time. No where did I say Pippen was better than Jordan, but Jordan had weaknesses in his game from a team prospective. I did however say Pippen was the best SF of the 90’s.

This is one of the most exciting postseasons to watch, and we have the two best teams emerging from each conference. Both the nuggets and heat are great basketball teams, great teams for kids to watch to see how the game is meant to be played. We could be watching these finals with our kids and so on to showcase what great basketball looks like, what the standard should be, how team oriented basketball beats individual talent, how both organiziations drafted and developed and built a winning culture to get to this point. Instead we are talking about how boring Jokic is, hating on LeBron, and rich peoples homes. But shoutout to Reggie for speaking truth and wisdom, and as always another great interview.

Again for the people in the BACK! Jokic in the REGULAR SEASON averaged more rebounds and assists than Embiid. Jokic had a higher FG %. Jokic was the 1 seed since December. Jokic is a better passer, higher IQ and makes his teammates better all the while barely scoring less points than Embiid while not even trying to pad stats. @@depannist I guess this is how the internet works. Where did I say there was pressure to vote for Embiid? I said they felt obligated. The fact that they think he has been close the previous 2 years. The fact that most voters are historians and didn't believe Jokic should have been in the exclusive club of 3 MVPs. It's a domino effect that the media creates. I feel like if the mainstream media pushed Jokic more it would have been Jokic. Most are just sheep.

This young man wears his wedding bands in his shoe laces every single game and never once made mention of it. A sideline photographer 1st saw it, posted it and now even knuckleheads like me know about it. That gesture really touched me and made me want to really check out Jokic. I know that they beat my favorite team The Lakers and King James tipped his cap. I believe Jamaal Murray, if he picks up where he left off, could be The Finals MVP. Of course The Heat will play tough and Butler will get his.

But.. his passing and scoring wizardry and shooting accuracy to me is very entertaining. Somewhat similar to Duncan except Duncan is a legend with a legacy and Joker is at his first Finals. But to me I love Joker especially playoff Joker. I will never get tired of watching his skills especially passing he is truly one of the best passers EVER! Not passing bigs. Simply passer. Also he doesn't put up with crap which is satisfying as well.

“Jokic not exciting to watch.” makes ZERO sense to say. I’ve been going to MANH NBA games yearly row 9/11/13 center court since 1987-88 (Reggie’s rookie year) and Jokic is one of the most exciting players EVER! God tier passer, can score from EVERYwhere on the court, best footwork for center the top4-7 GOAT 2 way player Hakeem. Anyone who thinks “Jokic is not exciting” is a casual who doesn’t know what they’re watching. Is Dan a casual I’m so confused.

Scottie and Phil get so much more credit than they deserve. Mike didn’t trust teammates earlier because they weren’t good enough. He made Scotty who he was. The triangle helped change the game but that wasn’t even Phil’s system.

@@vitosmith8195 I think it’s just more the teammates got better, especially after that first title everyone got more confident. The triangle forced Jordan to play without the ball more, so I guess Phil played a part in that but I mostly give credit to Jordan for willingly giving up the ball. The ball centric style puts the ultimate pressure on the role players because they pretty much play catch and shoot all game, rarely finding a rhythm in the actual game and making it easier for the defense to key in on everything. Lebron finally gave up the control of the ball this year but really only because he was hurt. Jordan’s ability to adapt to a different playstyle is one of the many reasons he’s the goat for me.

I don't think it's a slight. They kept picking against Miami, yet Miami is here. Denver is the more talented and deeper team, and so were the teams Miami played to get here. I personally have Denver winning because they, too, are well coached and have consistent shooters, and I like the combination of Joker and Murray. Bam will have to contend with Gordon and Joker, that's a tall order.

Most likely will make 1 crazy shot with a guy in his face which makes people say "how does he do that?" Just because you don't dunk you not be a exciting player?

I'm definitely of the opinion that MJ is overhyped, and he's not willing to give credit to anyone else, because he carefully crafted as such. But, if you have proper perspective, those two years when he was out, the Bulls were still one of the top teams without him. Also if Magic, and Bird, were just given normal career lifespans for players of their caliber, there's no way the Bulls win 6. You have to consider that those two take one or two championships during that time.

MJ bought in to Phil and Tex. And he had no teammates before. If you ran the triangle with the traveling cocaine circus, they may not have won a game. So of course they got better when Pippen arrived. He was a good player! It hurts me to watch the last dance and recall how much I loved watching Scottie compared to the BS he’s saying now. There isn’t a bridge left for him to burn. He’s on his own.

Cmon now, Jordan single handed turned the Bulls into a playoff team from the beginning with a shit roster…winning championships isn’t the only thing that means a team’s successful…Pippens arrival helped zero in his first couple seasons to so quit the notion of ‘until Pippen got there’…he had to mature to and let’s not forget about Horace and Phil’s impact on the coaching side of things…before all that, Jordan had no options but to do it all himself…and he did…didn’t win against the Hall of fame Celtics but Christ he did more than anyone thought was possible…Pippens on drugs for sure
