Reducing Clutter to Reduce Stress

Why am I airing my dirty laundry on KZread? Because my goal is to keep myself healthy, happy and to manage my stress levels. Clutter causes stress, whether we realize it or not. And chronic stress can lead to chronic disease, like high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, mental health issues, addiction, mood disorders, anxiety and even cancer. You name it. So getting rid of all this stuff I don't want, need or like is just one more step on my journey to health and happiness. Follow along while I figure it out and get rid of anything I don't truly love or need.. You're my motivation!

    @ethel_inc2673 the small section sounds like a good plan. And I have to figure out where to start.... For whatever reason, my bedroom seems like an overwhelming place to start.

    I am with you 💯. Everything you've said I have thought also. Overwhelming isn't it!?! I make excuses for some things and then, to be honest, laziness sets in 😒. But, you said it...GUILT!! I am slowly, very slowly, tossing some things (unfortunately makes room for more). Go figure. My question, why can't I throw out something I don't even know is here. I won't miss it, I don't even know I have it 🤷 Thanks for letting me know your thoughts, and I will be riding along decluttering with you. Things are always easier with someone who understands the craziness of it all. I am determined to declutter! 👍
