I've really enjoyed and been impressed by how Mike has grown since joining KF! Not only does he always bring the energy and vibe, but he also has honed his skills on hosting, interviewing, and being objective while previewing/reviewing games! Truly great to see everyone help each other succeed!

I totally disagree, I think he's one of the worst members of kinda funny. Not as bad as Imran or Janet, but Mike just sounds so fake to me, never excited when he's on any of the shows I listen to.

I had diarrhea this morning, but now it's gone. Thanks Kinda Funny!

I like this what I assume is an in studio set up for Andy and Mike. It's fun but a little weird to have the remote co-host's head floating on the wall when everyone else is sitting at the desk.

Super stoked for Redfall

Haven't been feeling fps games lately, but I'll be checking this out for the lore and world design.

Just because you don't care for matchmaking, and prefer playing with people you know, doesn't mean they shouldn't have it imo. It's 2023, every game should have cross play, and matchmaking. Yeah you might run into some bums, but you can always still play with just who you want, it's for the people that don't have friends who are around or want to play that particular game. I've met plenty of people online that I gamed with for a long time, and this game definitely could be one of those I think.

These three are by far the strongest part of KF. Great job guys.

I was kinda surprised how good Diablo IV was. Hyped to jump back in this weekend.

Was really interested in this game, love vampire hunting stuff so it sounded really cool! But the fact that your story progress doesn't save while playing co-op just makes no sense, and is kind of a deal breaker! I don't want to have to play the same story mission over and over on my own game, then with 1 friend, then with another. Idk, seems like a pretty huge oversight on their part

Why would I ever play a multiplayer game where the host only progresses? I’m getting penalized for playing with my friends! So for everyone who is excited for this, you are going to play for 10 hours in your friends game, go back to your game, and then start from zero. How is that appealing whatsoever? This game is a bust for that reason alone

Games that don’t have shared story progression drive me nuts. I don’t understand why that’s not a priority for devs. Between that, no matchmaking and no AI bots if you play single player this has really nuked my excitement for this game.

I find it strange that they (and it seems like, no other journalist) wasn't able to try co-op. Is Arkane going to do a co-op preview for the press soon?

Some of the tech sounds like Destiny. Like how there are instances of the world and you can go out and explore on your own in the world when playing co-op. Not to mention the always online component. I wonder if they were trying to make something similar to Destiny and then pivoted towards the end?

Andy, you are going to play RE4, don't lie haha! For me it's in 3rd place for horror games. Dead Space, Resident Evil 2 and then RE4 are my favorites, so I'm so stoked for this remake. Also, all three of my favorite horror games have had a remake. Still crazy to me.

The untethered is just for cool moments I think, Imagine Parris and you playing and Parris is getting pinned down and, Outta no where, The Rootin tootin Nitro Rifle shows up to headshot them and save the day.

I think it’s meant to be co-op but they knew people would complain (they did), so they also made it so it works with single player.

having a animated sheath takedown feels weird for a game like this. this is a 4 player coop open world looter shooter. u have hero characters like the one where he can turn him and his friends invisible. it would be such OP if everyone had a silent animated takedown. having it be more open to where u just melee but not be locked into a animation is more natural and more of a risk of u wiffing.

Kinda sucks that these are forced to stay at under an hour. Felt like the crew had to rush through some things.

Controller works in Diablo games for melee or projectiles. Any skill that drops in an area it is terrible as it only targets the first target in line. Even skills that teleport the character it's terrible for as range is not controllable. That is the reason I always prefer mouse and keyboard.

Hadn't thought about that issue for diablo. But man, clicking to move around with a zoomed out camera seriously makes me sleepy. I need to play with a controller to feel like I'm actively doing something the whole time lol

I feel like every Redfall preview video I've seen (from anyone, not just KF) basically ends with the sentiment "Could be good; idk we'll see" So I think I'm just gonna have to wait until May to see for myself

Nah, most of the previews were more like "this game is actually pretty good so far," and some people - even those that weren't interested in the game or who hadn't liked Deathloop previous - thought that their Redfall experience was pretty solid.

It's a real shame what Arkane has become. They made such good games Like Dishonoured 1/2, and Prey. Deathloop was a massive let down for me and now Redfall, which looks so far from what they used to be. I hope they get baack to what we used to love about them.

Im writing this before I hear the teams takes on Redfall but I have played the most recent build and I personally was not a fan. I also never liked an Arkane game so I didnt expect to going in.

What, are you a journalist? How could you have played the game before? Also, if you don't like Arcane games and you didn't like Redfall, that's probably a good thing, as it indicates that this game will probably be enjoyable for Arcane fans.

@JimmyTheGamer I work for MS and was part of the internal build review. I like to play everything in general. Arkane games to me feel like they're built on PC and then ported to console so the aiming always feels off to me. One issue I had was that specifically and the aim acceleration felt off for me. For obvious reasons I don't wish to disclose more however I do feel if you're a fan of Arkane Games then you'll certainly like Redfall. When it comes out in May I do plan to play it with friends as I think the co op experience will be fun.

Anytime they say that they have spent time with the creative director I automatically know the rest will be extremely biased.

Pretty much opposite to every other site I've watched out who put up a preview..looks like a 360 era boring far cry\borderlands like with cringe dialogue and a unimpressive skill tree and weapons. With none of the arcane DNA they said was in it.. I think people are gonna be quite disappointed when this drops.

These previews going around are pretty tepid. No one is saying anything like "man this is great" or "X thing was really fun". It's all just, "yeah this happened, I was shooting some guns"

That's projection lol, several of these previews were saying that they are pretty hyped for the game and even those that didn't like Deathloop enjoyed what they played of Redfall, like MrMattyPlays and several others. Also, did you even watch the video? They literally said they really enjoyed the game at 8:40 and that the open world is great. Typical troll comment.

Shame on Kinda Funny for platforming support for an Activision/Blizzard title Diablo IV after Greg proclaimed “F*** Bobby Kotik.” As Chris Rock asserted…selective outrage. KF has no problem slamming Harry Potter but will put Diablo in their site’s Top 10/20 in December.

Seems like Redfall is receiving some Mixed previews. Personally, was hoping it'd be Harvey Smith & Arkane Austin taking an elevating step from Prey (Lyon did the Dishonored's & Deathloop), & in general, Redfall resembling Arkane taking a superb truly-evolutionary step forward from the Dishonored's & Prey...after Deathloop felt a bit too 'Dishonored-recycled'. Still am excited for Redfall, but Andy's sentiments along with other outlets', has me a bit concerned for what's my most anticipated game for 2023's first-half. I appreciate Andy not being so traditionally Kinda Funny fluffy with this hands-on.

at this point i dont think they can say anything about this game to get me hyped up... it looks boring to me, might as well play borderlands.

Wish Gamescast was still a full episode and not just a preview. Not having an interest really in the game makes this episode kinda meh since it’s all they talk about. And didn’t sell it too well. It sounds like it’s gonna be over stuff edwith samey “dungeons” and a fairly empty world.

Sounds like a another Microsoft 7.5-8.0 metacritic...
