I'm genuinely surprised at how y'all so frequently lament the problems with industry consolidation and the dangers of everything being funneled into one or a few large corporations, then simultaneously spend a bunch of time arguing that every PC game needs to be sold on Steam. Let's not forget that Valve is a massive corporation with an overwhelmingly controlling segment of the PC game distribution market, and that's *bad for PC gaming. This argument is even stranger to me *because* it's about PC games. A PC game is a PC game is a PC game. The launcher literally doesn't matter for the experience of and ability to play the actual games, but the narrative has become that it's okay for Valve to basically be developing a monopoly on distribution, not because they're *better* but because they're *ubiquitous*. I don't understand it. Look, I don't have any problems with Steam as a launcher or as a business, but there has to be competition. The narrative for PC games should be: Get your games wherever you want, it doesn't matter what the launcher is as long as you're able to play your game. When you have a platform as large as yours, allowing you to reach such a wide audience, you have an opportunity to help the industry move away from consolidation by helping to popularize the idea that launchers just don't matter.

Love 76.
Greg miller, where did you get the patches for that jacket?
Please remember there is a reason people get into the business of making games. It is high risk high rewards. Layoffs and acquisitions.are part of the industry you can have empathy for those effected by layoffs but they have made very good money doing something they love and have a skill set to stay in that industry if they choose to. In my opinion if job security was a priority for these people then they would be in a different business they chose to be in this industry and those are the breaks it happens and yes it suck but that is their business. It is not Phil’s fault it is not their fault it is a natural fault of the business that is led by stock holders and bottom lines! To all that have been and will be effected God speed and God Bless!
.... just..... don't..... give them... your money. The. END.
From simply needs to incorporate difficulty settings. That's it.
You guys are really selling me on Fallout 76 as of late. 👍🏻
Golf War haha
Alright, I'm officially making a playlist for you all. Tim doesn't know Deerhunter, Greg didn't know Siouxsie & The Banshees. Got some music magic coming y'alls way.
I would adore it if andy played the thousand year door remaster
If the SGF demo was 3 levels and took 45 minutes, that means Astro Bot is roughly 20 hours with its 80 levels. #Math
Indiana jones and the radioactive diesel dykes from vietnam
Bad Boys 2 being 3rd is a travesty
I would just love an in game journal system in the next fromsoft game that auto fills with things you’ve figured out already so when you play NG+ you have an in game guide
Ive tried to get into Monster Hunter like 3 times and sheeeeet lets make it 4 times
the man has a kupo plushy mazing. I'm hoping that's actually his room lol
P3 might have the best story overall, but I just can’t give it number 1 since almost fucking nothing happens for the first several months.
I’m really tired of this prevailing wisdom of “character tells jokes, therefore character has personality.”
This thumbnail is terrifying
Helldivers level 😂
Disappointing to see it lean into the ARPG territory rather than going heavy RPG. Not what I want from a DA game but I'll try to keep an open mind.
I want a clip of Tim rocking out to Astro's music in his theater upon release haha
Premium member who downloads all your content daily ❤ get me through my work day thabks guys
The zoom in on Andy had me crying laughing lol
Solid 8/10
this is why gaming journalists are disconnected from people trailer have must dislikes them gaming journalists defending corpos instead of being in peoples side. this is why a youtubers are batter then this allways small channel
On vacation but I'm gonna unlock Gregg on my Steam Deck. I really need to jump back into 76. I've been playing since Alpha but cooled off since the show and have been replaying FO4. Also all these hours Gregg has been playing 76 and he doesn't know how to pick up and store items you've built for your base lol
Glad to hear it "feels so much like a Bioshock RPG" 😂
I'd argue most 3D platformer enemies are fairly generic (except for maybe Ratchet's since they change so often) simply because a lot are legacy franchises that got their start on basic hardware where their sprites were a handful of pixels at most. It's only because time's gone on and these franchises have stayed with us that they've become iconic. Donkey Kong is literally just a gorilla in a tie. King Boo is just a basic ghost shape with a crown. King K. Rool is just a crocodile with some regal attire. Kirby himself is just a pink blob. Not knocking any of these designs (I love the Mario and Kirby games), but I'm just saying that if Astro Bot has legs as a series and continues, I think the designs will reach similar levels of recgonisability and iconic status (not quite, since it will always be a newer franchise)
Veilguard doesn't look like a dragons age game, it looks like a fortnite version of it and I don't get why everyones so excited about that.
The brand is the fact that they are robots. It’s in the title haha.
The only thing holding this game back for me is the lack of bossfights and difficulty within those that exist.
Sooo hyped for Lego horizon. Who is the developer though? Did Guerilla make it?
I was with fam on the instant I’m in
Tim is still wrong about the design of Astro Bot but I'm even more hyped for the game.
glad Tim could get out of his Nintendo prison
There’s absolutely NOTHING Ubisoft could show that’s worthy. They will always be trash. 🗑️
Hi Tim, have you ever played Astro Bot Rescue Mission?
Give me more PS IP elsewhere. They have said they are struggling with rising dev costs. Port the full blown titles.
Nobody told me this is another episode of are you smarter than a fortnite player 1:39:14
$$ betterhelp sells patients private information! great sponsorship
That's capitalism
So Andy has some good taste in music then.
Andy and Barrett music takes are always good, Bless, Mike, and Greg however 😬😬😬
So excited to play Astrobot soon. I hope it sells well enough to encourage the return of more 3D platformers.
Love me some Sackboy and Astro's playroom. Really looking forward to this.
