This was his practice session, his bandmates and Howard Stern just showed up and crashed it.
They 100% still got it. Chad is like a metronome, Anthony doesn't mess up a single syllable, Flea plays with nothing held back, and John is perfect as always. Age hasn't slowed them a bit.

The most energetic 60 year olds I've ever seen. Amazing 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Incredible performance! Hard to believe it’s been over 30 years since they wrote this, but they still perform it like it was yesterday.
I remember one time I picked my daughter up from school when she was in 3rd grade. Her teacher asked to see me after school because she had some concerns about some things my daughter was saying in class during times they were supposed to be quietly reading. My daughter and I sat down with her teacher and she began to explain what the issue was. Apparently my daughter was quietly whispering the lyrics "what I got you gotta get it put it in you" while she would be reading or drawing. The teacher began to explain how inappropriate that was and that she shouldn't be saying that at such a young age and how I need to monitor what she watches and listens to etc. While she continues to ramble on I just quietly turned to my daughter, with arm extended and fist closed tight she proceeded to give me the most epic fist bump. God I love being a dad!

Haha so naïve
I'm sooo surprised that Anthony ain't gots a shirt on for the first time in like forever and thank god that John's back. He's deserves to be with em.
You could have played this for me audibly, hell, even showed it to me and told me it was from 30 years ago (sans the high def) and I would have completely believed you. I literally can't think of any band remotely close to their age group or even in general with their incredible energy. HoF band for a reason.
I truly don’t understand how anyone could dislike this. It’s like a fucking explosion of energy. John’s second solo is fucking insane and the amount of improvising from Flea and Chad going nuts. It’s just pure love and energy.
Haven't seen someone play a solo like that in a while. Face melted.

Que performance incrível, amei também!
That was amazing. After almost 40 years, no shine lost on this song or performance. ❤️💕💞
I've seen some live performances that (unfortunately) weren't the greatest to be honest, but this was so unbelievably tight and full of energy... wow, crazy good performance!

Their recent live performances were so-so. Cool, but not groundbreaking. But this live performance is just... amazing! Also love the energy in this setting.

50's sorry...
Goosebumps for 5 straight minutes watching that. My god those 4 guys playing together is a powerful thing.
Greatest 90’s band that’s still rocking out today 🔥 🔥
John's guitar work is vital to the RHCP sound!
GOD DAMN... This sounds so good, shivers down my spine, and the nostalgia it brings to my soul is unbelievable...

At lot better than the Rolling Stones live!!
One of the Greatest Bands in History. Nostalgic. I'm a 90's Teen, The Golden Age of Rock and Alternative.
Flea still banging after all these years... For those about to rock... we salute you!
Only band I have to see every time they come to town. Love me some Chili's
Anthony checking his armpit odor at 4:19 is the most ordinary thing you can see in this vid
Holy crap. Where to begin. Chad, Flea, and Anthony all doing these awesome flourishes that breathe new life into this song. And that jazzy section before the end! And then of course there’s John being back and on fire. Incredible. These guys just look like they’re having be time off their lives. Who would’ve thought this song is over 30 years old. They’re truly bothers. I’m happy they’re all back together.
John re-joining made me so happy. I love this version of this band!
