Im pretty sure they are sick of all of their old songs. Why havent they retired? Because they have nothing else to live for. When you arent here to do Gods will, you really have no purpose. They keep doing it to try and fill a void that only God can. Thats why james is back in rehab. You can have all the money and fame and still be broken. They need a relationship with God. I mean one where you talk to him and he responds. These cookie cutter churches are all mostly traditional in operatio.. They read from the bible, sing and nothing has changed. They need a real relationship. I dont know why i just talked about all of that. Maybe it was meant for someone to read.

Poor sound engineer though. Working for one of the worst radio personalities.
Your sound engineer needs a raise Howard. These were some of the best Metallica performances I’ve seen. Amazing sound quality and they played like in the old days, i.e. clearly having a lot of fun.

He's always had it. He just doesn't go out all when singing live. Singing like that ruins your vocal chords, so he saves it for studio recordings and special occasions like this.

James Hatfield vocals sound so good after all these years. I'm really impressed.
This is one of the best takes James has had on this song in a long time. No voice cracks or losing pitch. Sounded really good. After a 2 hour live set his singing voice is usually shot

It might be surprising, but the intro, rhythm fill, and main riff are extremely easy. I picked it up in a hour. To be fair, I have had 3 years of guitar classes, but you should be able to pick it up real quick if you try.

Howard's sound engineer is one of the best! Srsly, I never heard anything badly mixed from this show. Well balanced, great overall sound, everything sounds so damn clear and live.👌 Amazing performance by Metallica.🤘They seems so fresh and you can feel they really enjoyed the moment! Love this!👍

Actually, these days they play at a half-step down or even full-step down tuning, to enable James to sing without damaging his throat.
I love James’ voice with a bit of distortion in it.

Superb mixing job from the sound engineer on this! It's hard to make a live performance sound like a studio recording but he did it!

What I loved about this video when it came out was timing.When the semi is closing in on the kids bed the boom fits so well.Kicks my ass every time I watch it.

there is a backing track to keep him honest. Stern doesn't have good monitors by the way either.
