Oooooh I sure remember the feelings I had for Tanya...

Would've been nice if the FMVs were deinterlaced first prior to upscaling. Somehow Westwood filmed the cinematics in an interlaced format despite the fact that computers typically display a progressive image.

If you mean the weird anomalies with the mini-map videos, I think what is happening there has more to do with using an AI algorithm to upres them. The AI has to predict what to fill in the additional pixels with. So if you think about it, it's actually filling in more pixels than the base pixels it has to work with. Overall it is doing a good job, but artifacts like with eye balls is to be expected.

@@blakegriplingph Yeah, I mean we are probably both right. You can really see the AI upscaling in the Soviet YR video with Zofia's face (when blowing up her mini-map videos). It really dislikes her eye makeup too, whereas Tanya's vids are ok.

Yuri's revenge have a great cinematic

I remember this is the only time Allied Nations' forces were on par with both Soviets and Yuri. And when I said on par with thide 2 factions, I meant Red Alert 2 (and perhaps 3).

It's weird because in RA1 the US never got involved. So I think Europe's hesitation to get involved a second time was probably due to the first Soviet war still fresh in their memories, not to mention Gen. Carville was RA: Retaliation so this couldn't of been no more than a few years after Starvos killed Stalin.

The US 100% got involved. In the final mission intro there are more US officers in that room then any other nation. (To be fair, its only 2, tied with UK at 2 also... lol). Thats not counting the clearly American looking soldiers in the finale and the fact the allied powers are using NOTHING but american equipment. Basically the Europe armies are suffering defeat after defeat until more and more US forces arrive and help turn the tide in France and the lowlands.

i mean, yuri's just a normal guy if people wear anti brainwashing tech. And since they already had that tech ever since the whole yuri ordeal started, imprisoning him was simple afterwards. Same happened to ra2 when allies captured Romanov.

original RA2 ending only has Tanya in a black dress with the helicopters inviting you to the White House celebration party. Yuri's Revenge starts some time after the ending with Allies winning and Yuri's shenanigans have the three of you go back in time and beat Yuri. Tanya, same one who invited you before on the previous timeline, invites you again to the new party but now Eva suddenly shows up to compete for the commander's attention. She prob found out what Tanya did during the previous timeline and decided to spice things up.
