Skelly-boy Army! I think I'd make an assassination squad with those robo-ninjas and have Ryoshi lead them. I might make it an homage to Kill Bill and its "Deadly Viper Assassination Squad" and name them all after snakes or something. Maybe name them after the actresses instead, IDK, but having a robo-ninja death squad needs a cool theme, IMO. I'm just glad Ryoshi didn't get melted into a puddle of goo from all the acid, though!

Skeleton legion from the wiki: Background The Skeleton Legion was created some time after the fall of the Second Empire. Nothing is known about this shadowy faction, however, it is likely that the faction is a successor group to the defunct Hydraulic Knights, or a counterpart. The faction's commanders and officers are also likely the few skeletons that sympathized and stayed loyal to Mad Cat-Lon, as Legionnaires of the faction are not thralls, whereas it's main forces, Legion Thralls, are numerous and make the bulk of the group.

@IslandPotato I mean it's lore, but your playing UWE. So they show up more in places like the deadlands for example. I think vanilla they are exclusive or mostly in the Ashlands alone.

So, I have a way to help you visually identify weapons when mods cause that issue at 13:00 with the saber and all the added animal breeds. The funny thing is, it's a very old mod, one not updated since 2016, but simple and well designed to the point it works fine still and is for me a must have mod. It is called "Modified Weapon Categories" and much like that one I suggested for the Bone Dog pack, kind of buries what it does behind a name that tells you next to nothing. This mod is actually one of the original, and in my opinion best weapon retexture mods because it does something so perfect. Starting with skeleton grade weapons, it adds distinct visual changes to the weapon and scabbard, in the form of Japanese calligraphy symbols that tell you mark 1,2, or 3, as well as the colors will tell you Skeleton ,Edgewalker, or Meitou. The mod will explain it all and show it in screen shots, you can see if you like the visual changes first and see how they can let you just by looking at the weapons know what maker and quality they are roughly. I would not want to come on too strongly about this mod, but truly it is amazing, and at present has a meager 188 subscribers on Steam despite having been around more than 9 years. And it really truly is a standout visual mod without being over the top likesome of the others. It will also play nice with the luxury weapons mod; they will still all be gold dusted if you have them in the right load order. If you do decide to use it, please do not give me any kind of shout out, but that mod and its maker. They are an unsung artist as far as I am concerned that the wider Kenshi community needs to know about. I personally can't even imagine Kenshi without the visual changes that let me look at a foe and say that is a Skeleton Mark 2 he has, or that Elite Samurai Captain has an Edgewalker type 3 just by looking at them. You can even still use other weapon retexture mods as long as you have them in the right load order, so if you really wanted something super pretty for Meitou like Snow Crystal, you can.

Phew, you really had Ryo risking it this time. I was a touch worried he was about to take a real hard beating when he got surrounded there. Robot Jeebus seemed to be looking out for him there with that intervention of opposed bots. Personally, I find saving them from needless death a lot less wrong than super powerful super cheap recruits. Like now Toothpick actually has a reason to want to be loyal to Ryo and his crew. And with a name like that, he better become a master of the Toothpick! ;) Have you considered having one of your dog's stay with Ryo? The Alpha should have enough natural regen, that even if beaten down and left behind holding the line, it should recover as long as it doesn't take a critical wound to one of the 3 vital areas. Combined with their total environmental protection should make for a good friend, and maybe just maybe look into grabbing one of those ponchos that go in the cape slot with acid protection to help poor Ryo not melt. Really fun adventures again. Man, you are turning Ryo into a Technomancer with his own legion of Skeletons to challenge Cat-Lon himself. Don't feel bad btw, even that extra tough bot Crankshaft, geared with your best gear, going to last maybe 3 hits from an Oni brother. Hell, you could go grab Dak from the Scrap house, and he would maybe, maybe be able to put a good beating on one of them, if you can separate them. Honestly the best tactic I can suggest is near them is another old tech ruin, with a decent number of the more powerful spider mechs. If you can beat them down and then repair them and sneak them into the area behind the gate of the Oni Castle, and then draw one down, they may be able to take a limb off with a bit of luck. Don't bother with Beak things, they will at best distract them. Won't do any real damage. May the winds always be at your back, and the sand in the eyes of your foes!

Not sure where it was I read it, but I recall something about the HN being the cause of broken skeletons. They like to give the sane ones they capture extensive torture before giving them a crude lobotomy and throwing them into the river. Hence part of why so many end up in the area north of the HN. Maybe Ryo knew Toothpick years ago. An old tutor, or the like.
