I have a U08 I bought off an old guy collecting dust in my garage, I have to get around to restoring it.

I have the same bike but painted in blue, very good job, nice!

Oh, wow, thanks for sharing this! Very well produced! I had the same bike (might have been the 1980 version) in the grey base colour, but same orange letters and checkered flag. I spend many hours in my teen years on that bike. Financed by me delivering newspapers and the final bit by my parents for my birthday. Loved it, got stolen when I was almost 30 ... What a bummer. For me nostalgia to the max.

@@locofoto75 An "Atala course gs" but Peugeot was better. (i buy old bikes, refurbish them and sell them for a profit)

that's what mine looked like in 1980, same beautiful color. i still have it but it definitely needs some tlc. i am thinking about getting it restored. i really can't do it myself because i don't have the necessary tools. do you have a range on what it might cost? provided i don't need replacement parts.

No idea how much it costs to fully refurbish, but the paint cost me €150

Very good work indeed. Congratulations! I have one question, would be very happy for your advice. I have a Peugeot px8 from 1976 myself. Some of the decals on the bike are scratched and would be nice to get replacement. Is there some place where you can order original decals or new ones that at least look like the original ones

I found them on eBay. Several vendors make them. Take the time to look for the right model, year. Good luck!

A 1:23 vous mettez une sorte d'entretoise en plastique pour la roue arrière. Est ce que d'après vous cette pièce est indispensable ? Je ne sais pas vraiment si je peux l'ôter ou non.. Pour reculer un peu la roue arrière.

It is. I have had this bike since the beginning. I was thinking of replacing is with a Simplex, but I wanted to keep all the original parts (to be honest, I put new vintage toe clips because the old ones were too worn and the saddle because it’s beautiful).

It’s all original parts found on this Peugeot PH10, disassembled, cleaned and polished: Simplex rear derailleur branded Peugeot, front derailleur curiously Shimano, Rigida steel rims, Weimann breaks branded Peugeot, Christophe pedal clips (but I had to buy new ones because the old ones were too rusty), Normandy hubs and cogs… I like the fact that it’s all branded « Made in France », witnessing the time when major bike factories were in this country. The tires, chain and bar tape are new. I replaced the original Peugeot saddle with a new vintage Selle Italia Turbo because it’s so cool !

@@aannovi82 I just found some German chain on eBay compatible with 5 speed bikes, don’t recall the brand.

Super montage vidéo bravo, vous avez du y passer du temps. C'est vous qui avez refait la peinture ?, car on voit de vieux Peugeot à vendre mais souvent ils accusent leur âge et sont plein d'impacts. Je suis preneur des tips pour repeindre si vous savez dire.Merci

Après avoir refait moi-même la peinture d’un autre vélo et vu le résultat…j’ai donné celui-ci à peindre au carrossier du coin :-)
