Peugeot Bicycles 1985
Ойын-сауық
Here's a promotional video produced by Peugeot back in 1985. Beginning in 1992, Peugeot bicycles were manufactured and sold In North America under licence and French built bikes were no longer imported. Peugeot ceased bicycle production in France back in 2002. A longtime favorite bike of many who owned one!

At the start of the lockdown I noticed my Scott modern road bike had a crack in the frame. I put the wheels onto my vintage Peugeot performance 200 from 1988. This year I climbed the col de Turini in the south of France 4 times on it. Steel is real!

I ownd a peugeot p8 from 1985 that was a 12 speed pearl white with blue peugeot logo and blue stripes best bike i ever owned
That's awesome! I found one with a "free" sign on it today, good chain, cables, brakes, bearings- just needed air in the tires. I don't even think they leak. We'll find out tomorrow. Awesome bikes!!!

was it as good as it sounded
St. gothard p100s still running fantastic 😊
I completely restored a 103 Carbolite Avoriaz from 1986 and I love to ride it. It rolls so fantastic over good asphalt and has a charme to it, expensive new carbon bikes never reach.

Hi barrylyndon80, I just got a 103 carbolite, possibly 1986, or 1977. only frame, do you know rims & tire size, I found this # under the frame: “Y602 3 1977” Thank you, !
I currently own 4 bikes (carbon, aluminum and titanium), but I think I feel incomplete, I still want a vintage Peugeot, I have seen several of them and are beautiful
a lot of mechanisation but so much still done by hand, love the hand push for alignment at 3.10 and the hand pinstriping, awesome.

i agree with you with the hand painting
I've had my Peugeot (Fabrique en France) since I rolled it out of the store in Paris 1985. Thank you TWA for letting me carry it in upstairs business class 747. Garage kept, ridden maybe 400 miles. My Giant Cypress DX I've only had for a year and a half has 1,200 miles on. My 15 year old Murray (Walmart) has 1,500 miles on just the front wheel (replaced it 5 years ago after a taco). It's the bike I'm willing to have stolen so we take it on vacations.
I had a lovely maroon bike from that era,boy I miss it...
wish i still had mine
the first french manufacturer of bicycles and the best
i just play this video to listen to the music
The PR and PX models were very nice
This music is on another level.
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting it
cool retro video!
I've got a Peugeot performance 200 chromoly. Gets used as a town bike. Can't fault it.
I just sold my px0 for $600 I'm surprised I got that much and it was only listed for two days. Great bike I must say.
Yes, the same company. But the Peugeot bicycles are better than Peugeot cars compared to the competitors.
The description should be updated - Peugeot Cycles are back: cycles.peugeot.com/
My current daily driver is a 1981 (?) UO-5 which was made in Canada by Velo Sport. You can see it on my channel if you're curious. My guess is that it was manufactured in Saint-Georges, Quebec - is that the facility we are looking at in this video? Apparently there is an ebike shop in Montreal that has imported Peugeot bikes into Canada for the first time in 20 years. I really like the LU01 to replace my UO-5, I'm considering riding from Halifax to Montreal to get one, then hanging my vintage UO-5 up on the wall for nostalgic purposes.
I still have my Corbier P4. She my white goddess and a 25 years love
At one time I owned a peugeot p8 road bike

I agree.
Had a PX 10 with Reynolds 531. Very nice bike. But liked my Ritchie with Colombus slx much better.
Muito bonito trabalho.
what's the kids bike called at 4:38 ?
I have a restored 1975 Peugeot record du monde.

Nice vid and my respect to Peugeot bicycles for what they achieved back then.. but... And I'm sorry to say.. The quality of most models (parts & montage) was really poor. And that's such a shame, they could and should have done better in their possition. Still love the brand tho.
Peugeot bicycles this was the same company that made the cars huh????...if so cool huh????..made both cars and bicycles
This is when bikes were made cheap and heavy.

My 1984 PH501 is 23lbs. The quality of workmanship on it is impressive, even though it was only a mid range bike. I still ride it. The frame is like the day I bought it. I wonder how many bikes made today will still be rideable in 2064.
Blah blah blah usa blah blah blah. The chinese can have the same quality.
