For mine it's different. My dad's alive and in the family but he's never involved with us kids. So I never have that father and son bond since young. I wish I had but I know will never have.

A bit late to the party but watching you work with your dad and how giddy he gets with you is so touching to see. My dad helps me with the physical parts of my car modification that as a female I'm just not strong enough to do. He's recently been diagnosed with cancer and the thought of potentially not having him to help me again really hits hard. Cherish your dad for as long as you can, there's nothing quite like it

I think it’s great too see you going through this experience with your dad. Parents are not around forever but the memory’s you are making during this build will last you a lifetime.

I like not only the content you create, but also the fact that you’re honest, always give 100% and most important you’re working with your dad, wife, dog and ect… so happy to see that you count on each other! We have all watched so many video adventures from Mat…And for me this one really encompasses what makes this channel so great, A genuine guy, doing what he loves, with the people that he loves supporting him. The Joy and pride on Mat’s father face when that engine went back into the Lambo…There’s no scripting that…..

Crazy success story!

Agreed, great opportunity to make the engine sparkle - afterall the engine is the star of this car - the rest of it owes more to a kit car than a factory supercar to my eyes. Brake line needed to be cut with the correct tool as well - very little of the pipe looked clear after the angle grinder.

@@tillyfoxtrotter I think the time it would take to do that could literally be starting of finishing another project so as a business move getting it up and running, then cleaning as well as you can afterwards is the best move. You can see the rush in fabricating the gaskets instead of waiting a day. I totally get it. I’d probably do the same. But I can also see why some viewers would be left unfulfilled.

what i love about you is you are abslutly fearless and nothing could get you down , no matter what the problem is you try to find a solution that works and saves you some moeny as well , i really hope that you make some kind of guide for buying wrecked / abandond cars and how to estimate the value of them and how to estimate the cost of thr rebuilding , you are a real inspire , and your videos gives me motivation and optimism to fight for what i love to do .

Absolutely killing it. I have been waiting for this update! The positive energy even with s hits the fan is what keeps people here.

For the dashboard repair, I’d love a cross episode with the master Alex from NorthridgeFix. He also has a channel here on YT. He does crazy microsoldering repairs, has worked as a car dealer and also fixes a wide range of devices even without schematics. If that thing is gonna ever work again, he’d be your weapon to solve the quest!

I would send it to KZread channel - Learn Electronics Repair. Or Mr Carlson's Lab, they would have a much better understanding of this sort of thing imo.

@@anthonydenn4345 Not sure if Mr Carlson would be interested in this. Not the type of electroniks he usually repairs. There are some insanely great YT channels but have an entirely different field of interest. The Signal Path would also be able to repair this I guess but he does only lab equipment.

Maybe it's me being too over the top, but I felt emotional when the engine went back in. All the hard work, all the annoying things that you and your dad went through, to see it going back in the body was such a relief and like I said, emotional! Well done to you all!

I can't believe in all the time you've been waiting you haven't cleaned up the engine ancillaries. It's so disappointing given you're doing such a great job.

Mat what a wonderful video to watch again, especially building this car with your love ones especially with yr dad. Looking at it wish my dad was still a round. He also loved cars and take great pleasure in cleaning and modifing his cars. He sadly passed away in 2009. So enjoy every moment with the ones you love and don't take it for granted. Absolutely fantastic! Absolutely hooked to this series, one of the most engaging guys to watch ever. With reference to those butterfly valves, I had a bmw 530d e39 with the same design, something to do with the emissions I believe. One of them disintegrated and completely destroyed the engine. The fix was to take them out and put a blanking plate in its place, once rebuilt didn't affect the car in any way. Hope this helps! Keep up the great work 👌

Mat have you concidered making a custo introment cluster? I am not sure if your Lambo uses CANBAN or the old system but they are pretty easy to figure out after a few days work and you can get a fully electric cluster and add custom stuff to it like Carplay
