There are so many things to like about this channel, but one of the things I like most is the positivity: you find a problem and you don’t dwell on it - it’s straight to how you fix it, and you laugh at your mistakes. There’s no cover up is it’s just pure authenticity. It’s what makes you such a charismatic figure Matt and it’s just nice to watch, because you are never defeated. That’s the definition of a winner in my book, and a lesson to everyone

Mat is definitely my favorite guy to watch. I love his story of working hard and then going for his dream. But most importantly, you're very lucky to have your dad there with you. I would give anything to have my dad still around

@@Koutsimouka yeah, I would bet that a lot of it was from his Dad, but maybe he and Dad didn't used to communicate well. My Dad could never tell me anything.

The moment you got that instrument cluster working and you all cheered, bought a genuine smile to my face, don’t you just love it when things (finally) work?

When you look at that engine it’s one serious lump, little mistake along the way I honestly think you’re allowed that Mat. It’s been amazing to watch and seeing you and your dad taking on this massive challenge just shows how far you have come and more importantly where you are heading! I as always wish you every success. 👍🏼

When will we see part 10 🙂. The anticipation is unbelievable, like the old days when you couldnt binge watch TV 😀

It sounds cheesy I know but watching Matt and his positivity has pushed me to be more positive. I had pretty much given up to be honest and then I watch Matt face issue after issue and just carry on regardless and it really changed my outlook so for that I have nothing but appreciation for this channel 💪

Discovered your channel this morning and have binged watch the Porshe, M5 and then this build all day. The greatest parts of these videos by far is watching you and your dad work together.

I feel your pain and you aren't the first people to have to pull a rebuilt engine out not by a long shot! Kudos for keeping the smile on your face.

I’m so impressed with you and your dad in how you’re working together on this challenge. It’s a drag about the amount of additional work caused by the missing o-rings but you’ll get it fixed and back in. Again, kudos to you two

do the pistonrings new and hone the cylinder walls otherwise you could have an oil burning issue edit: and those wires to the cluster have to be soldered please dont leave those with wire clamps

Hi Mat, nice repair job. Here some advise from a very experienced electronic design engineer. 1. Get circuit diagrams for this vehicle. 2. If you do not know what will happen to electronics, connect them to a regulated power supply with current limiter (iso. a big battery that will fry any faulty electronics). 3. Test as much as possible sensor inputs, before you start the car.

Fair play to you for being honest and owning up making a mistake. Thankfully no damage done apart from the time taken to correct the error. Great content as always and looking forward to seeing this back on the road!

We all know it's a specialist engine,tbh I think you've done brilliantly and as I've watched your progression building cars Matt two of rings missed is a testament to how far you have come,(fair play)

Hey Matt - you need a new schrader valve in your compression gauge. It shouldn't bleed down like that between pulses.
