I attempted to take my lamborghini murcielago that my dad and i had just rebuilt on the Gumball 3000 rally. But it only made it as far as London until it broke down. It picked up alot of problems on the way and now i have to solve as many as i can before taking it to Lamborghini themselves!

The best thing about this channel is not Mat and his cars… It’s Mat and his Dad 😍

A lot of rebuild KZreadrs don’t explain how parts of the cars work. I like how you explain every detail of why something isn’t working so in this video the relay for the fan and other stuff.
You are so close to the finish line on all the repairs, hope to see it repainted and detailed and maybe a trip to Nurburgring to drive like you stole it. Good job Dad.

I love how happy Mat's dad is all the time. It must be a pleasure to have someone so knowlegeable and upbeat to share your passion with.
Alternator charge should ideally be between 14.2-14.6 volts. You're still a little low, but maybe add an earth strap or two at different ends of the car to ensure good ground connection.

You know I think you've kinda reached that level of iconic'ness (yeah that's a made up word but I'm sticking with it)..... that no matter how much a car you rebuild doesn't make sense to do financially, it will always be profitable because of the story you give it. You're a legend mate and all your resurrections will be equally as legendary.

Love the connection between you and your dad!! Its priceless and your vlogs are amazing. You make my day when you and pops are working together on projects. Thank you Matt. The murci rebuild has been my favorite
Honestly Mat have done a great job on this murcielago considering the condition it was previously. It looked dead near impossible to get it to this point of state. I learned something, nothing is hard,it's all about having faith in yourself & getting started with confidence and positive hopes, thts all it takes. Give it your all, your time, your strength you name it. Whatever it is you'll surely make it. Good one Armstrong 👍 👏

This channel is simply A+++. Mat and his Dad are a joy to watch. Very informative and funny
What a ride. I found your Channel yesterday and decided to give it a go and I have been so happy to see you actually doing this yourself and showing what goes right and wrong and in such detail to let us know how painful it can be. The smile on my face when the engine finally ran was so big because I was so invested into this haha. Loved it, can´t wait for more now :)
It's always the way, you get much better results when you aren't stressing and trying to fix everything before Gumball.
5:28 I literally love how you explain little technical things someone like myself doesn’t understand. 😂❤
Bro your dad deserves a build of his own. He has been so helpful during your builds.
As with most dads your old man is a legend!! Keep the content coming boys!! 👊🏻
It was epic to see the Murci on the gumball! Great work from you, your dad, and crew! Can’t wait to see that beast cleaned up, painted/wrapped!
I love how your dad lets you learn for yourself before nudging you to his thoughts and im sure your dad has learnt alot from your ways. Love the videos and love your positivity
A totally brilliant from episode 1 to finish binge watch. The highs and lows, the detective work, the total bodges discovered and rectified. I absolutely loved it. Well done all on your fantastic job well done.
Love to see you doing this journey with your dad now and creating memories. He has to be apart of every build now 👍🏼
I found myself genuinely smiling and chuckling at your response to the car Mat…what an amazing journey you’ve been on with it already and it’s so satisfying fixing all those niggles, can’t wait to see what’s next for it!!
Your dad's seems like such a nice guy! Always smiling.. Absolutely love the father son relationship!
out of all the channels i watch and follow, this guy is by far the most real, genuine, and down to earth human being ive seen. just recently found te channel but i find myself rooting for Mats success
Quite clear where Mat has his enthusiasm from, just one look at his dad's face explains it all. Keep up with the good work Mat and Dad (and rest of the crew of course)
Even though the car has some problems still, it’s amazing to see where it is now compared to a few months ago! Keep up the good work Mat and make this thing as perfect as possible!
I love your dad’s laugh. You are so blessed to still have him “wiff yew”.
Your dad's face "13.2 big smile!" I love your pops 😂
Cannot wait for fully painted and fully fixed Lambo!!! I hope the next episode will be also about your dream car. Keep it going the good work Matt!!! 🏎🏎🏎
Tony Tony Tony, the man of the hour 😂 great video Matt, really enjoyed how much fun everyone had in this video, I’ve never seen so many things go right when fixing a car 😂

Loving this lambo series and to see it on Gumball 3000 is amazing! Keep the videos coming Mat, fantastic work 😊
I love the look on Mat's Dad. Its like his so happy just being there and being involved.
You, your dad, and the others who have worked on this car should be very proud of all the work you have done. It's a bit annoying that the dealer wouldn't let you in the workshop as that bit is always interesting, especially since I used to be a service manager in various prestige dealerships over the years. I give you guys a full 10/10!
I really like your explanations of electrical. The hand motions sold me and kept me interested
Enjoy watching all your builds but this lambo has been by far the most interesting to follow ive learnt alot just by watching, cant wait to see it all painted, hopefully going back to its original colour 😮

In my humble opinion, I'd say "The best" rebuild channel. And the main reason for that comes down to the content and at lot to do with Marks personality, he comes across very likeable well I suppose if he didn't his channel would flop.
Love the relationship you and your Dad have...amazing.
Incredible tenacity, perseverance and character. What an achievement. (I would have chucked my tools out my toolbox many episodes ago.)
already know it’s gonna be a good one
Screw gumball, you did the right thing sorting out all the issues first. Screw Lamborghini dealers as well. You might think they're not impressed but that is because you did the repairs yourself and saved tons of money.
What a dad to have.
Hey mat! I just came to tell you yesturday I saw you driving from Lamborghini Leicester near thurmaston, me and my brother shouted ITS MAT ARMSTRONG. Love you mat keep on building!
You probably could cross-check the real odometer reading between modules. VCDS (service software for VAG Group) has an built in option to check a real mileage, and it checks all of the modules for any inconsistencies. If VCDS would work for the pre-LP Murci, that could be an option to check an actual reading, and then to correct the cluster reading
@MattyEngland
10 ай бұрын
Think this is long before they had that functionality. Usually on the older ones you just have one attempt to program whatever mileage you want.
@WhathefrenchTV
10 ай бұрын
I've reached to him a few month ago to try to save the mileage from the old odometer, he never responded... I wanted to desolder, read the eeprom and try to figure out the real mileage.
@karcio424

@@MattyEngland VW Golf MK4 has that functionality since ~2000-2001 if I recall correctly so maybe pre-LP Murci has that as well
@MattyEngland

@@WhathefrenchTV Just the mileage from the last MOT plus 1000 miles would probably be close enough, but extracting the EPROM would have been interesting.
@MattyEngland
10 ай бұрын
@@karcio424 Ah right, it must vary across the VAG range then as I've programed clusters on 2002 Audis and Seat Leon's and neither had the function. As long as the new clusters were 'virginised' you got one attempt to enter the correct mileage, (although it had to be done in KM and then reverted to miles later) and then once it was set that was it.
Feel's like I just saw this video an hour ago 😂
Matt I hope you read this now that you're so busy and all but let me tell you, this was the first video that brought a tear to my eye. 27/28min in your heartfelt joy pulling into London at night, calling the murci a "trooper" after all your hard work. Respect to you and the fam, thanks Matt, appreciated, keep great vids comin… cheers 🍻
Always amazed at how many people and friends and family can get SERIOUSLY involved in repairing a central locking issue. Dismantling; wondering;..... basically spending hours and hours fiddling about to mend the issue ONLY because the car is a Lambo. If it were your sister in law's vauxhall astra virtually NO ONE would lift a finger. Welcome to the AMAZING world of Branding and advertising. The POWER of influence.
Congratulations!!! Thank you for sharing with us all this! Great Great job with all the cars!!!

Amazing work on this one... I've been following it from the start. Goes to show that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Very inspirational. Nicely done guys, keep it up! Also more camera time for your dad please 🙏😁 he's a legend!
I'm super loving the journey you are having with this car. You've gone a long way and its looking great! Can't wait for the next episode. Awesome stuff
Well done, Matt. You are a hard-working, positive soul. 🎉
Considering this Lamborghini had been a track day car, mistreated daily, then left to rot for 7 years to where it is now is incredible. This is a long term ownership, so the items picked up by Lamborghini can be sorted over time. What you have Mat is time spent with your dad all recorded for prosperity and what will be a highly desirable car. I can’t wait to see it fully finished with new paint, air conditioning and taken on a road trip far less gruelling than Gumball 3000. What a story and memories you have built as well as fantastic content for us. Looking forward to the next instalment as well as new challenges ahead. Congrats Mat, what a Chanel and content creator👍🇬🇧
Great vid enjoyed every minute….keep em coming
Best entertainment video I’ve seen in a long time enjoyed it very much.
I am genuinely happy for you it's nice to see this on the road and to see you and your dad's faces when it works well done lads awesome stuff
Bravo !!! Congratulations on resolving those issues !!!
Man i really like the _vibe_ of your videos. I like even more that you and you dad bond over these projects. My only disappointment is that ive just found this channel. Good news... I can bunge watch the old vids
From what I can gather, based on conversations with someone I know who owns one, this is pretty much standard for a visit to a Lamborghini dealership, bit of a shambles. Considering the state of the car when you got it, and the fact it needed a complete engine rebuild, this is an absolute triumph for you and your dad.
Congratulations Matt and Tony (Dad) to get the dream car back on the road and Gum Ball trip shows how much their fans loves Matt and his team ❤
Love seeing the journey unfold for the Murci, solid score on the health check too, looking like she will be good as new very soon 🔥
Epic !!! Can’t wait to see what’s next, no matter what car you choose I think your style of explanation and thoroughness has us all learning with you. Love your videos !
Never cease to be amazed by you and your Dads ability to find and solve problems. Nothing ever phases you or has you beat.
Great experience, everything so tense I like I like your channel and your work
Now, all you need is a flooded P1…. I don’t even remember how I stumbled on your channel, but I’m so glad I did. Pretty sure it was the beginning of the Murcielago that I stumbled upon and now after months I’ve watched so many of your series. Keep it up Mat! It’s been a pleasure to watch you!
Really wonderful to see you and your dad work on projects
I love watching Matt and his dad working together on the cars ,my dad lives in UK and I'm in new Zealand and I haven't been able to afford to fly back ,it's nice to see ❤
Tony’s experience is so valuable!
I hope Mat finishes this car. Get the frame painted with anti-rust paint. Fix all those lines, wires and pipes. It could become like a show car. A new paint job (like he did on that orange Porsche). I think it's about 86% done... Lots more to do, seeing as it's his dream car!!
"Solid 9!" 🤣💯 I'm not that in to cars but you (and your dad) make it fun to watch. 👍👍
You are an inspiration to me Mat, and your the reason I love crash damaged cars😊😊

Your dad is a monster man! Old man with a lot of experience! love him!
Glad to see the hard work you've put in paying off and nice catch by your dad on the battery voltage. Noticed a Police van in the background at the end there. Were they hoping to catch you 'testing' your cars out?
I'm a youtube junkie, have been for years - this is the best channel I've ever come across. Mat, you're a fuckin legend; your attitude, you're charisma, you're can-do, inspirational attitude, your family, your everything. Hands down the coolest person/youtuber.
What a brilliant series of videos, it reminds me of what I used to get up to in the 1990's, although not on exotica like this, it was Cavaliers, Sierra's the nearest I got to Italian exotica was an Alfa Romeo. Watching this also made me think that people paying for a "supercar experience" are getting to drive a badly maintained old dog but I suppose the operators know its unlikely that the customer has driven one before so wouldn't know is knackered.
You and the team really are Sooooper Troupers, well done guys :)
I'd be far in life if I had your attitude and approach. Problems pop up left and right but you never slump over and give up, you go in head first with so much positivity and enthusiasm. MA's got a great team too.
This build and story has been awesome, I can’t wait for bodywork videos and to see it finished. Dad- legend, Mat- legend.. together, legends!
